iPod Day & the Crocs Rebellion: How We Stopped Owning Music and Started Accessorizing Foam Clogs

Show Notes

Bobby Dewrell flew solo this Friday morning on 100.3 KROCK, Fort Walton Beach's classic rock station, because Schuyler Black decided playing mama's boy warranted an extended vacation to Helen, Georgia—and apparently the benchwarmers are "a bunch of losers." With temps starting at 52 degrees and climbing to a sunny 79, Bobby powered through the morning like a man defusing bombs: one appliance clock at a time, one sarcastic holiday at a time, and zero co-hosts to slow him down.

Speaking of holidays, we kicked off with National iPod Day—a somber reminder that Apple once let you own music instead of renting it back like a sad subscription hostage. Then came National Croc Day, celebrating the foam clog that says "I've given up, but demands respect like tactical gear." (Sport mode optional.) And because HR can't stop us, we closed with National Slap Your Irritating Coworker Day—a metaphorical holiday honoring the sacred space between your open palm and the last shred of professionalism. If you're the one everyone wants to slap, congratulations: you're now a team-building exercise.

Local news hit hard—Okaloosa County is pulling nearly $10 million from reserves to cover Hurricane Isaiah damage while waiting on FEMA reimbursement. Turns out reserves exist for a reason, Fort Walton. Meanwhile, Lynne Fair from Executive Air stopped by to hype the Second Annual One Hopeful Place Chili Cook-Off at Lou's Tavern (605 James Lee Road) on November 1st from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seventeen qualified cooks—plus Schuyler, who may or may not just reheat Hormel in a Crock-Pot—will battle it out for chili supremacy. Ten bucks gets you all-you-can-eat, drink specials, and the warm glow of supporting a good cause. This weekend also brings the Read Local Authors Expo at Fort Walton Beach Library (Saturday, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.), the Destin Songwriters Festival at Destin Harbor, and Freedom Tech Center's Sunset Market with trunk-or-treat and a costume contest.

In "Ask Uncle Bobby" (brought to you by Hard Rock Bet), we tackled daylight saving time and the existential dread of appliances that refuse to auto-update. The advice? Either fix every clock in four minutes like a man defusing bombs, or commit to chaos and leave them all wrong. Half-right is the worst of both worlds—you're not bilingual in time, you're just confused. We also learned that Okaloosa Gas, Stripes Pub & Grill, and Outkast Sushi in Miramar Beach keep this show running, and that Bobby's basically a saint for not calling in the benchwarmers on a Friday. Until Monday—when Schuyler will probably find another excuse to skip—keep it locked on KROCK, where the classic rock never stops and the sarcasm flows like bourbon at 10 a.m.

(00:00) Here's today's B Team Redux. Good morning Fort Wallen Beach. That's Def Leppard and Hysteria right here. 100.3 KROCK, the classic rock station. You're listening to the B Team Morning Show. I'm Bobby Derell over here on mic one. And well, with me is absolutely no one. (00:16) That's right. Cause my bench warmers are a bunch of losers and Schuyler. Well, you know, he got through playing mama's boy and now he's up in, uh, in Helen, Georgia, you know, because apparently he needed some time off of the grueling four or five days that he was back. So, yeah, that's where we are. (00:32) So everybody left me to run the show all by my little lonesome this morning. So here I am, but Hey, it's no worries. We're on a Friday morning. It's 56 degrees outside. It's going to climb up to 79 today. It's a looking like it's a not going to be very many clouds. (00:47) Just no chance of rain. Just a, it's a beautiful sunny day today. So, uh, be a little chilly for the first part of the morning, but it's getting there, uh, seas, uh, about one foot out there, uh, water temperatures still around, uh, 78, so still nice and toasty in the water, hardly anyone right now. (01:05) Rip current's definitely low, but, uh, you know, well, uh, that can change, that can change. So keep your eye on that. Uh, certainly if you're planning on going to the beach and hanging out today and, you know, uh, we'd love to around six o'clock, bring you your, uh, all of your, your holidays, right. (01:22) And that's, that's part of what our sponsors do for you. You know, our friends over at stripes pub and grill outcast sushi and Miramar beach and, uh, and, and would be remiss if I did not mention Okaloosa gas to bring you The B Team show every morning. They say, you know, Bobby, you got to go out there and find some holidays. (01:37) And so that's what I do. I, I scourged the internet every day and, uh, came across, uh, today actually, you know, is, uh, it's iPod day, you know, basically celebrating the last time that Apple let you own music without renting it back, like a sad little subscription hostage that we all are. (01:53) Am I right? Am I right? Yeah. So that's, uh, that's what I thought was interesting. Now, now here's the thing about national iPod day. It's, it's a annual reminder that we once carried a little white brick, you know, like it was the arc of the covenant. You remember that we, we thanked it for letting us own 3000 songs. (02:10) We absolutely didn't need. And, and listen, you don't celebrate it so much as you acknowledge it like a, you know, like an ex you're pretty sure you love, but can't remember why. So that's what it is. It's a, it's a holiday for honoring the click wheel, the tangled headphone knots, and the, the sacred ritual of pretending 128 megabytes was plenty. (02:29) Yeah. Today's not about nostalgia. It's about admitting technology ages like milk and we still drink it anyway. Yeah. So there you go. National iPod day right here. The BT morning show up next. (02:45) We've got the romantics. What I like about you. 100.3 KROCK, the classic rock station. We got, uh, we got the police and more to come. So stick around. I'm sure there'll be some Bob Seger in there. The police and wrapped around my finger right here. 100.3 KROCK, the classic rock station. (03:01) Listen to the BT morning show brought to you by our friends over at Okaloosa gas stripes, pub and grill and outcast sushi and Miramar beach. I'm Bobby Dewrell sitting here on Mike one all by my little lonesome because well, Schuyler, he's off playing hooky and hell in Georgia and well, my bench warmers are losers. (03:16) Yeah. That's, that's what I'm going to say. I'm going to blame it on them. I mean, maybe we didn't call him. I don't know. It was a Friday, you know, Schuyler decides to take a Friday off. I'm not going to call somebody in off the bench on a Friday just to come work. You know, I, you know, and when I think of what a great guy I am, I'm, I'm often amazed, but, uh, Hey, it's, uh, it's okay. (03:38) You know, we're sitting here, we're looking at some national holidays through our six o'clock hour. And what we talked about national iPod day. And now the one that I see coming up is national crock day. You know, celebrating the shoe that says I've given up, but still demands respect, like it's tactical gear. You know what I'm talking about? (03:54) Right. Some of you out there wearing your Crocs right now. The question is, do you have them in sport mode? Yeah. Yeah. There you go. All right. National crock day is the annual reminder that someone along the timeline. We somewhere, somewhere along the timeline, we, we stopped asking, should we, and started asking, does it come in neon? (04:13) Yeah. It's a celebration of those foam clogs that, you know, look like a boat ramp, had a baby with a Swiss cheese wheel. Plus the, the brave souls who wear them, like they're, they're making a statement instead of a cry for help. You know, people, people customize them with the little plastic trinkets because, you know, nothing says personal growth, like accessorizing your footwear with tiny cartoon mushrooms. (04:33) Yeah. So, uh, anyway, here you go for one glorious day. We're all going to pretend this is about comfort and, and not the slow, and not the slow, steady collapse of shame. Yeah. So there you go. National crock day. (04:48) So if you got them, where I'm in flan them, man, this is the, uh, this is the day. I guess. I don't, I don't know. I don't, I don't get it. I don't get it. All right, folks. It's a Friday morning. It's a beautiful day today. (05:03) It's it's it's wrapping. I are starting to starting out that way. We got sunrise coming up about 6 45 AM. Uh, I can see just through the window. We got just the beginning peaks of, uh, of a nice little sunrise. Now we don't have very much cloud cover, so it's not expected to be a, a, a nice vivid sunrise this morning. (05:21) Uh, there's only about 2% cloud cover through the 90 minutes of first light, but, uh, or after first light, which we've already hit. So, uh, keep that in mind, but still, still, I mean, you know, sunrises are sunrises. Everyone you get to see is a, there's another little blessing, right? (05:36) Uh, sunset today is going to be around 6 0 7 PM. Uh, we're climbing up to about 80 degrees today, but right now, uh, I'm going to let the professionals tell you about the Marine report. And then, uh, we'll hear a few words from our sponsors and then we'll be back with, uh, I don't know, uh, Aerosmith, probably some Bob Seeger, uh, maybe white snake, I don't know. (05:57) I don't know. You know, it's, it's, it's young. I don't know what I'm in the mood for yet. So, all right, y'all stick around. Don't go nowhere. The cure, or excuse me, the who was summertime blues right here on 100.3 KROCK, the classic crack station, man. (06:12) I don't know what I was thinking. I don't, I don't know why I just said that was the cure. I don't, I guess I had the cure on my mind. Uh, anyway, that was the who was summertime blues. Let me be clear. I do know who sang the song. Okay. So before you start writing in or calling and telling me that I made a mistake, I know I made a mistake. (06:29) I'm admitting to it. That was the who. All right. I did tell you I'm shaking a little cobwebs off this morning. It was a little bit of a late night last night. And you know what I figured out this morning right now is just looking at the rest of the holidays. We got one more to bring to you right now. (06:45) And I understand why Schuyler didn't show up today. I do. And I also understand why none of the benchwarmers got here because they're all afraid. See, because today is national slap your irritating coworker day. (07:01) That's right. They all knew they were going to get smacked. That's what it is. But you know, I just, I look folks, this, you got to celebrate this because this is a holiday. HR can't run. Okay. Well, I mean, if they're the irritating coworker, but in which case, you know, Hey, happy birthday, man. (07:18) That's all I got to say. Yeah. Yeah. National slap. You're irritating. Coworker day is that fake holiday that shows up like an unpaid intern, you know, uninvited loud and somehow still on schedule. You know, it's, it's not about violence so much as it's a, it's about the, the fantasy of, of consequences in an office ecosystem where Chad from cells can circle back into your grave and HR calls it culture. (07:44) So today we honor the sacred space between your open palm and the last shred of professionalism. And we pretend that deep breathing is a personality. So keep it metaphorical, keep it legal. And if you're the one everybody wants to slap, well, congratulations. (08:00) You are now a team building exercise. That's right. That's right. You got to take that win any way you can get it. Yeah. All right, folks. We're wrapping up the six o'clock hour, getting ready for seven o'clock. We got some, uh, advice coming from ask uncle Bobby around seven 40, but until then, well, you know what, let's just have a little more music and, and I don't know, maybe some news. (08:23) I, I, I. I don't know. What do y'all think? I think I'm thinking a little firehouse. Don't treat me bad. You know, that's what the, that's what the slapped coworkers are going to want to say this day. Right. All right. Give it right here. 100.3 KROCK, the classic rock station. (08:39) It's a BT morning show brought to you by friends over at Oakley's gas stripes pub and grill and outcasts. It's about six minutes after seven o'clock on a Friday morning, October 23rd. What a beautiful day. It is going to turn out to be 54 degrees right now. (08:55) At least that's what they, uh, actually 52 and sunny is what they're saying out of the, uh, uh, national weather service station, KVBS. Yeah, that's right. That's the one right there at the airport. Oh, excuse me. Uh, sunny with a high near a 79 today, North. We, uh, Northeast winds five to 10 miles per hour. (09:12) We got sunset coming up at six Oh seven. So you got quite a while. We just made it through sunrise at six 45 AM. And like I said, folks, it is a beautiful day. There is, uh, it's sunny all day. There is, uh, no, just no, no call for rain. (09:29) No call for clouds. Just going to be a beautiful little day. Now it is climbing up to about 80 degrees. So it's going to get a little warmer today, but then, uh, come back down, you know, it's, it's that, uh, it's that fall weather right here in the panhandle. Yeah. Where it starts out, you know, cold and lonely gets hot and steamy in the middle of the day, and then just ends up in a cool dark place. (09:49) That's right. Yeah. I call it, it's much like a, uh, middle-aged divorcees life. Yeah. There you go. Yeah. Anyway, I know it's probably. A dumb joke, but I don't I don't care. It's mine. I I enjoy it. I enjoy it. All right, we're you're listening to the B Team Morning Show. I'm Bobby Dewrell right here on mic one. Usually I have Schuyler in the studios with me. But well, he's he's playing hooky today. And none of my benchwarmers showed up. So you know, it's always good to have a just a bevy of auxiliary people that you can call on when needed and and then have them not show. So anyway, here I am. I said all lonely with no best friend. (10:29) Yeah, that's that's how it is. I know you feel sorry for me. You really don't. I know what you're saying right now is shut up, Bobby, and play some more music. So why don't I do that? And but first, I'd be remiss if I didn't give a shout out to our sponsors, Okaloosa Gas, Outkast Sushi in Miramar Beach and Stripes Pub and Grill over in Navarre Beach. We got news and weather coming your way in a bit. But right now we got CCR. Proud Mary. (10:58) Rush with subdivisions right here on 100.3 KROCK the classic rock station. You're listening to The B Team morning show brought to you in part by our friends at Okaloosa Gas, Stripes Pub and Grill and Outkast Sushi over in Miramar Beach. I'm Bobby Dewrell sitting here on mic one having the time of my life all by myself because Schuyler's out and well my benchwarmers they stink. Yeah, that's right. Didn't show up. No call. No show. Don't know what to do about that. Looks like we're gonna be getting a new set of benchwarmers. Ah, oh, well, I hope they're listening. (11:27) Yeah, they probably aren't. That's the kind of people they are. All right, folks, it's a beautiful Friday. I got to tell you, it's about 50 somewhere around 50, 52 degrees this morning. It's going to climb on up to about 80 degrees today, but we'll have the weather report for you here in just a minute. (11:44) But hey, I wanted to tell you a story came out. Okaloosa County is drawing nearly $10 million from its general fund reserve to cover immediate Hurricane Isaiah's costs while awaiting federal disaster reimbursement. Now the damage includes $4.3 million in building losses, $1.4 million in water and sewer costs and an estimated $4 million in debris removal. (12:09) And folks, if you've wondered why we're sitting around and especially, you know, some of you in Fort Walton that doesn't understand why cities and counties keep reserves, well, this is why. So thank gosh it has the money and reserves to be able to do this. Now it will be reimbursed by the federal disaster, right, with FEMA and that kind of stuff. But that takes time. And see, if you don't have the money sitting there, then you got to wait till you get the money. And it's kind of hard to reimburse something you haven't spent. (12:38) So all right. Well, thank you, Okaloosa County, for planning ahead and making sure that we have the reserves there and that you can keep that ball rolling. So anyway, that's all I got to say on that one. All right. We're going to take a little break. We're going to hear the weather from the professionals, and then we'll be back with Donny Iris, ACDC and more. So y'all stick around. Don't go nowhere. We got more classic rock coming your way. Plus Uncle Bobby's news, or excuse me, Uncle Bobby's advice about 745-ish. Yeah. So stick around. (13:08) Don't go nowhere. Absolutely beautiful. You can't. You can't. You know what? You can't pay for this. Can't pay for this. UV is going to peak around six at a high around six today. Cold water is actually quite warm, 70 degrees out there. But listen, we got some local news coming up for you here in just a second. And then we'll get some word from our sponsors. And well, you know, maybe after a little Tom Petty, well, then you got some advice coming from Uncle Bobby. Yeah. So we got a whole lot going on. (14:07) Yeah. So you need to stick around, hang out with us. You're listening to the B Team Morning Show right here on 100.3 KROCK brought to you by our friends over at Okaloosa Gas, Outkast Sushi and Miramar Beach and Stripes Pub and Grill. I'm Bobby Dewrell sitting over here on mic one with nobody on mic two. So I'm the only mic there is. I'm the only guy talking to you this morning and that's okay. (14:26) Hey, I want to give a shout out to Matt. Hope you're finally awake and listening. Matt over at Jake and Henry's. Saw him a little bit last night at the casino night for All Sports Association. It's great kind of catching up with you and seeing what's going on for all of you that played at my table for those three hours and one pig. Hey, don't take that to Biloxi. I'm telling you those dealers will not help you the way I did. Yeah. So anyway. All right. Hope everyone's having fun. Hope you're having a wonderful Friday and getting started right now. (14:53) We've got our news coming up and then we'll be back with Tom Petty, Jackson Brown and more. So stick around. Don't go nowhere. Florida State Inspire, Northrop Grumman and the US Air Force signed a three-year deal $9 million agreement to use additive manufacturing to reduce costs and production time for munitions. The collaboration will establish manufacturing facilities in Bay County and create high paying jobs while helping replenish the nation's weapons stockpiles. (15:51) Early voting is underway and ends October 31st for the general election. Voting booths will be open every day, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. And that's your Omni Broadcasting News sponsored by McCaskill & Company. I'm Dan Diner. Ready to get on the water? Make Captain's Choice Votes in Service in Fort Walton Beach your first stop. (16:09) Jackson Brown and Dr. My Eyes right here at 100.3k Rock, the classic rock station, the B Team Morning Show. All morning, that's right, from 6 to 10, you get to listen to the one, the only, Bobby Durrell. That's me. That's right. No Schuyler today. He's off playing hooky. And well, none of my benchwarmers showed up. So I'm just flying solo. And well, we're having the time of my life. But, you know, Dr. My Eyes, right? (16:32) I just can't see. But, hey, folks, you know what time it is with the sound of the music? It tells you it's time for Ask Uncle Bobby. That's right. The best advice you never knew you needed right here on this show. (16:47) And it's brought to you by our friends over at Hard Rock Bet. Now, at Hard Rock Bet, the party is on and new customers are on the list for up to $500 in no sweat bets. That's right. Sign up today and bet $5 to get up to $500 in no sweat bets. (17:04) Now, that's how you get the party started on Hard Rock Bet, Florida's only legal sports book. Now, this is not a cash offer. It's offered by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. You must be 21 and over and physically present in Florida to wage your terms and conditions apply. If you're concerned about your gambling, well, you can call or text 1-833-PLAYWISE. (17:21) But right now, we need to get to the question and dole out some advice. And today, the question comes in from An Hour Off Until Spring. An Hour Off Until Spring writes, Dear Uncle Bobby, the clocks fall back next weekend. My phone will fix itself. My oven, my microwave and my car and my coffee, well, the coffee maker won't. (17:44) Every year, I fix two of them and just give up on the rest and spend the whole winter doing math in my own kitchen. Is there a better way to live? Well, you know, here's the deal. An Hour Off Until Spring, yeah, there is a better way to live. And you've known what it is for 15 years because it takes four minutes. But you're not going to do it. So let's talk about why. (18:10) See, every fall, the government takes an hour back and every appliance you own was designed to resent it. Yeah, that's right. Your phone handles it while you sleep because your phone's smarter than you. Everything else in your kitchen was built by an engineer who's never met a human being. (18:26) See, the microwave wants you to hold down clock, then press timer twice, then something on the number pad that changes with every model. The car hides at three menus deep behind settings, behind vehicle and next to something about tire pressure. And then the oven has two buttons and really, they're both do the wrong thing. (18:43) See, none of this is new. We spent the 80s staring at a VCR blinking 12, 12, 12, 12. See, an entire nation of people who could program a remote control couldn't set the clock on the machine it controlled. And see, we never solved that. We just bought newer things that blink differently. (19:05) So look, here's the honest truth. The clocks aren't the problem. The problem is that you know the oven is an hour off and you're fine with it. You've done the math, you've adapted. The car says 6.15, you think 5.15 and you keep driving. You've become bilingual in time. (19:26) But look, you asked for a better way, so here it is. Sunday morning before coffee, before anything, you take the four minutes. You go appliance to appliance like a man defusing bombs. You look up the car on the phone because you'll never remember it, right? You do the microwave, you do the oven, you do the coffee maker and you don't stop at two. (19:51) See, two is where you've stopped every single year of your adult life. And if you can't face it, face it. Then commit. Leave every one of them wrong. That's right. What you don't do is fix two and leave three. (20:07) See, that's the worst of both worlds. Half your house on real time, half on a time zone of your own invention. You got to pick one reality and live in it. Either way, you wait until March and half of them will be right again on their own. See, that's not a fix. That's just a broken clock being right twice a year. So there you have it. That's your solution. I'm glad I could help. (20:35) I'm glad I could help. So all right, folks, we're going to get back into the music and move along. Hey, don't forget, if you missed Uncle Bobby today or you'd like to read it and catch up, you can find it on our site at TheBTeamShow.com or you can go to DewBob.com where you can get all the past Uncle Bobby's, all the free advice that's been doled out. Nearly 500 episodes at this point out there at DewBob.com. And while you're there, stop by and get some merch because, hey, it supports me and I can't think of anything better to do. All right, next we got the Beatles and some sticks coming your way. But right now, yeah, you know what? Let's just go to the Beatles. (21:16) Sound good? All right. Motley Crue and Girls, Girls, Girls right here on 100.3k Rock the Classic Rock Station. You're listening to The B Team Morning Show brought to you in part by our friends over at Okaloosa Gas at Stripes Pub and Grill and Outkast Sushi out in Miramar Beach. I'm Bobby Dewrell sitting over here on mic one all by my little lonesome because Schuyler took the day off and the benchwarmers stink. Yeah, that's right. I said it. I said it's a gem, Tom. (21:41) If you're listening, which you're probably not because you would have already called if you had been. Well, fine. Just do whatever. Just go do your own thing and just leave me here all by my little lonesome in this studio, all dark and lonely. Just whatever. Whatever. Bunch of sissies can't show up and be on the radio. That's right. I'm calling them out, folks. Hey, seriously, we've got a beautiful Friday happening. Oh, man. Let me tell you guys, it's the weather is spot on right now. We're about 52 degrees and sunny. Well, that's what it was at 6.55 a.m. (22:15) It looks like the airport's not updating the weather. But anyway, we're still down in the 50s and sunny. It's going to be high around near 79 today. We got a northeast wind 5 to 10 miles per hour and coming down. Sunset this evening is going to be at 6.07 p.m. I got to tell you, just a beautiful day. Water's wonderful temperature wise. It's still about 78 degrees, so it's a little warmer in the water than it is on the ground right now. I'm going to hit high tide around 10.35 today. And let me tell you, you got a chance to go to the beach. It might be a little chilly first thing in the morning, but UV is going to still be up around 6. So you can still get some tan. You can still get some color in your body. Yeah, there you go. All right. Well, you know what? I'm going to quit talking and play more music. I heard rumor that Lynne Fair may be on the way in. Lynne Fair from Executive Air. My guess is she's going to talk about some things happening this weekend, possibly like the PAWS adoption event that's coming up tomorrow. (23:11) But hey, I don't want to steal all of her thunder, right? Got to let Lynne have her due. So all right, y'all stick around. Right now we've got Deep Purple with Space Truckin' on 100.3 KROCK, the Classic Rock Station. Go ahead. Turn it up. Play it loud. Eric Clapton with the correct and aptly politically correct title, Motherless Children. (23:36) Oh, folks, you're listening to the BT Morning Show right here on 100.3 KROCK, the Classic Rock Station. I'm Bobby Dewrell. I'm Mike One. Joining me in studio because, well, she heard I was lonely and nobody was paying me any attention. Lynne Fair from Executive Air. Lynne, how are you doing this morning? Well, I'm doing well. I'm doing well. I hear Schuyler's up drinking. (23:58) Yeah, as always. I mean, he does it. He just had to do it in a different city now. Yeah. It's going to be crowded up there in L.A. Yeah, I went to L.A. Georgia for Oktoberfest when it's not Oktoberfest. So for those of y'all wondering, Oktoberfest does not happen in October. It's the last two weeks of September. (24:16) It's celebrating the coming of October. That's why they call it Oktoberfest. Whatever. Schuyler has to be Schuyler. He's from Iowa. What do you expect? Midwesterners. Well, no. Okay. You get them better than I do. (24:35) That is true. All right. Well, Lynne, you're in here to talk to us about the second annual One Hopeful Place Chili Cook-Off. Yes, it's coming up next week. Yeah, it's next week. It's what, is it November 1st? November 1st. (24:51) Yeah, because that's when most Halloween events are done. It is actually the Day of the Dead. It'll be just fine. So you can still come in your costume. Actually, November 1st is All Saints Day. Well, it depends on what you're doing. All right. Depends on what you're doing. (25:09) For this purpose, it is what it is. And it's all to support One Hopeful Place. So it's for a good cause. $10 to taste. 17 chefs plus Schuyler. (25:26) Oh, wow. Chili. Yeah, so we're not calling Schuyler a chef. I like that. Well, he's not here. I can pick on him. 17 qualified cooks and Schuyler will be preparing meals for you. That's right. They'll be duking it out. They'll be duking it out. (25:42) And Lou's going to be at Lou's Tavern, 605 James Lee Road. And what we're doing is $10 to come and taste. You can make donations. We'll have some raffle baskets that you can purchase tickets for. (25:59) And Lou's got some drink specials going on. She'll have some Bloody Marys, some spooky margaritas and some Moscow Mules. Oh, wow. She's making her famous chips. So it'll be a great time. $10 gets all you can eat. (26:20) Yep. And that's Sunday, November 1st from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is. Yeah. And a bunch of cooks. We had a few of your chefs back when we did the remote at the Chamber of Commerce. That is correct. Had a little smack talk going on. They did. They did. (26:35) Yeah. It sounds like they're bringing some challenges and they're going to get in there. They are. And so we have first, second and third prize for Best Chili and then top fundraisers. So find the chefs and donate to One Hopeful Place because there's some prizes for that, too. (26:56) Yeah. Yeah. There you go. So it's all happening at Lou's Tavern over on James Lee, 605 James Lee? Yep. 605 James Lee back over there from Sunday, November 1st from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It's the second annual One Hopeful Place Chili Cook-Off Halloween Skeleton Edition. (27:14) Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So it's going to be spooky twist to it. There's going to be a little bit of spooky twist. And if you're worried... The spookiest part is having Schuyler cook chili. Well, that's true. That is a risk. And I do notice he's just a little scared to talk about his chili because the last two times we've chatted, he hasn't been here. (27:34) Yeah. Yeah. Well, it's because he's going to have to Google how to make chili. You know what? I think his secret is he puts Hormel in a Crock-Pot. Who? That's my story and I'm sticking to it. (27:49) All right. All right. See what happens when you don't show up. That's right. That's right. All right, folks, stick around.
