The City of Fort Walton Beach Recreation Department will hold its annual Bunny Hop Trail event on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

This family-friendly free event will be held at the Preston Hood Athletic Complex, located directly behind the Fort Walton Beach Recreation Center at 132 Jet Dr. NW. Parking is available both at the Recreation Center and at the two city lots located on Hollywood Boulevard, directly across from Hampton Hyundai.

We’ll have treats, bounce houses, face painting, and other fun activities, as well as a “photo booth” where children can have their picture made with the Easter Bunny.

Come ride or drive for the ARC of the Emerald Coast in the 2026 Poker Run on Saturday, March 28 with the Niceville American Legion Post and 100.3 K-Rock.

$15 per rider, and $10 per passenger to enter.  Cars welcome too!

Win dozens of prizes, including a 2005 Honda Shadow 750 chopper!  

Kick stands up at 10:30am, and all bikes will return no later than 4:00pm.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Explorers Post 245 is hosting its 3rd Annual 5K Color Run/Walk on March 28, 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the FWB NWFSC Campus (1170 MLK Jr. Blvd). This family-friendly, high-energy event features a colorful 5K run or walk, food trucks, and vendor booths, with registration set at $25. Participants can scan the QR code on the flyer to register, and those interested in participation or sponsorship opportunities can contact [email protected] for more information.

Join the Fish Fry Fundraiser on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Liza Jackson Park – Dog Park Parking Lot, 338 Miracle Strip Parkway SW in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Plates are $20 each and can be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Proceeds benefit One Hopeful Place, with every ticket purchased providing a sheltered participant with a full day of meals—helping make a difference one life at a time.

Turtlefest:  This family-friendly festival will be an unforgettable evening where guests will enjoy endless entertainment, unlimited food and drinks, and fun activities for all ages. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and greet their favorite Gulfarium residents and make a real difference in the lives of endangered sea turtles. Guests are invited to celebrate marine conservation and the incredible work of the Gulfarium C.A.R.E. Center at the Annual CARE on the Coast Sea Turtle Festival.
