Through events like this tournament and their annual banquet, ASA supports organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club of the Emerald Coast, Special Olympics Florida – Okaloosa, Eleanor J. Johnson Youth Center, and Okaloosa Walton FCA.
When you play, you’re not just signing up for a round of golf, you’re helping provide opportunities, resources, and support for young athletes and organizations that make a difference in our community.

Executive Air and MidSouth Bank are partnering with the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center (ECCAC) to host a Back-to-School Supply Drive on Saturday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Executive Air, 106 Perry Ave. in Fort Walton Beach. Community members are encouraged to donate school supplies—including backpacks, glue, notebooks, pencils, crayons, headphones, calculators, and other classroom essentials—or make cash contributions to help local children in need start the school year prepared. The event will also feature complimentary hot dogs and chips as organizers bring the community together to support students and families across the Emerald Coast.

The new school year is right around the corner and now is a perfect time to start getting ready.  Nearly 30 local businesses and organizations are teaming up for a “Back 2 School” community event, to be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fort Walton Beach Recreation Center (132 Jet Drive NW, Fort Walton Beach, 32548).  The event is designed for students in grades K through 12, but parents are encouraged to attend as well. This is more than a backpack giveaway; it’s an opportunity for families to connect with organizations that offer year-round support and services.

Stars, Stripes & Second Chances is an upscale patriotic fundraising brunch benefiting the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), dedicated to rescuing, protecting, and finding loving homes for animals across the Florida Panhandle. Taking place on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at The Alice in Destin, the event will feature chef-driven brunch stations, a mimosa and Bloody Mary bar, pet ambassador photo opportunities, raffles and other fundraising activities, and inspiring stories highlighting the organization's lifesaving mission. Guests will enjoy a memorable community gathering while helping raise critical funds for medical care, emergency rescue, shelter operations, and adoption programs that give vulnerable animals a second chance.

The Downtown FWB Coffee Club will welcome Florida State Representative Patt Maney as its special guest speaker for a discussion on the rich history of Fort Walton Beach during its August Coffee Club gathering. The event will take place on Thursday, Aug. 13, beginning with Coffee & Connections at 8:30 a.m., followed by Maney's presentation from 9 to 10 a.m. at Florida Place Food Trucks, located next to the Fort Walton Beach Library. A retired Army brigadier general, former Okaloosa County judge, attorney, and longtime student of local history, Maney will share insights into the city's past and its military heritage. Complimentary coffee, community updates, networking opportunities, and raffle prizes will also be part of the free event, which is open to everyone.

Choctawhatchee enters the 2026 football season with another challenging schedule after reaching the state semifinals last year. The Indians will open the regular season on the road against Mosley on Aug. 20 before hosting Auburn, Alabama, the following week. A demanding slate also includes road trips to Pace, Escambia, Milton, Fort Walton Beach and Thompson, Alabama, while home fans will see key matchups against rival Niceville, Booker T. Washington and Gulf Breeze. With a mix of traditional rivals, district games and tough out-of-state competition, Choctaw will look to build on last season's success and make another deep postseason run.

The season opens at home against Franklin County before games against Northview, Holmes County and Walton. District play includes matchups with Bozeman, Freeport and South Walton, while the Sharks will also face longtime Panhandle opponents such as Pensacola Catholic and Chipley. With a balanced slate of home and road contests, Destin will look to gain momentum throughout the season and position itself for a strong finish.

Navarre will face a demanding football schedule this season as the Raiders look to compete for a district championship and a return to the playoffs. The season opens on the road against Escambia before home games with Pine Forest and Niceville, followed by district matchups against Pace, Milton and Gulf Breeze. The Raiders will also take on traditional rivals Crestview and Tate while closing the regular season at home against Mosley. With a schedule featuring longtime rivals, key district contests and several tough opponents, Navarre will be tested each week as it pursues another successful season.

Featuring a balanced mix of non-district tests, rivalry games and key district showdowns, the Eagles will face a demanding path as they chase another playoff appearance.

Our Fisher House on Eglin continues to serve and support military and veteran families, and our annual event plays a vital role in sustaining that mission—especially as we anticipate growing demand with our partnership with the Intrepid Spirit Center and our 16th year of service. We invite you to help through sponsorships, auctions, or by attending an inspiring evening featuring fellowship, networking, and meaningful stories from families we’ve served, with AmFund offering bucket-list vacations and Mike Guidry returning as emcee. The event begins at 5:00 pm with a social and silent auction, followed by a program at 6:30 pm featuring the Blue Anchor Belles, dinner, and powerful testimonials. With attendance limited to 320 guests, tickets at $175 are expected to sell out quickly. This fun and impactful evening also includes a spirited competition for “Biggest Fan,” and all proceeds—toward our $100,000 goal—support the house’s operations and expanded care, including accommodations for families when we reach capacity. Your support ensures we can continue providing comfort, hope, and a home away from home for those who need it most.
