Financial Crime Fighter Day: The Unglamorous Heroes Chasing Fraud with Lanyards, Webinars & Weak Passwords
Description
We howled at the moon, roasted the pumpkin, and somehow circled back to a guy screaming at kids from inside a sewer—because if you're not yelling from a manhole on a Monday, are you even living?

Show Notes
Schuyler Black and Bobby Dewrell kicked off another Monday on 100.3 KROCK, Fort Walton Beach's classic rock station — because nothing says "I survived the weekend" like two guys who sound like they're still processing it. The Emerald Coast got treated to the usual blend of irreverence, local happenings, and holidays you didn't know existed (but now can't forget).
Speaking of holidays: today we celebrated National Financial Crime Fighter Day, honoring the spreadsheet sheriffs and compliance lifers who protect your bank account from princes with Gmail addresses. Then came Horseless Carriage Day, a tip of the hat to the invention that replaced horses with horsepower — and somehow still left us screaming in parking lots. National Pumpkin Day reminded us that America will carve, spice, and worship an innocent gourd until it rots on the porch like a slow apology. And finally, Worldwide Howl at the Moon Night, where grown adults yell at a rock in the sky and call it self-care. (Bobby's howl > Schuyler's howl. We're taking a poll.)
On the local front: PAWS waived adoption fees this past Saturday, the Sunset Market drew crowds at Freedom Tech Center, and Niceville Girls Volleyball punched their ticket to the Elite Eight for the first time since 2020. This coming weekend brings the rescheduled Hispanic Heritage Festival at the Landing on Saturday, plus Halloween karaoke at Home 2 Suites (costumes encouraged, sobriety optional). Sunday's the Second Annual One Hopeful Place Chili Cook-Off at Lew's Tavern — 11 to 2, corner of South and James Lee. Get your spoons ready.
In the news: a wildfire near Seacrest and Satinwood Drive in Santa Rosa Beach scorched three acres Saturday but was 90% contained with no injuries. An Okaloosa County man got 40 years for shooting at a FedEx truck (bad idea, worse aim). And a Maryland man was arrested for yelling at people from inside a sewer — because apparently Pennywise is real and he's having a rough month. Meanwhile, Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre is your Monday Night Football HQ tonight with 50-cent wings through the NFL season. Okaloosa Gas keeps you fueled, and OutKast Sushi in Miramar Beach keeps you fed. This week's "Ask Uncle Bobby" tackled the myth of the anonymous HR survey — spoiler: it's a census with a smiley face. Bobby's advice? Stay employable, write like oatmeal, and save honesty for the exit interview.
High today: 81 degrees. Beautiful all week. Trick-or-treating Saturday looks clear. High school football continues Friday — Choctaw on 94.3 FTW, Niceville on 103.7 The Ticket. Next week's the rescheduled Crosstown rivalry. Two schools, one city, somebody's getting bragging rights. Now crank the classics and coast into the week — we set the bar low on Mondays and raise it gradually until Friday, when we drop it again and roll into the weekend. Stay weird, Emerald Coast.

(00:01) Here's today's B Team Redux. 100.3 KROCK, good morning everybody. Welcome to a Monday. Schuyler Black and Bobby Dewrell back at it after a weekend of football and activities all around the area. (00:22) There was a lot going on this weekend. In fact, you had the PAWS waived adoption fee event Saturday. Michael Knight was out there broadcasting live from that. Lots of college football and high school football over the weekend as well. You had the Sunset Market out at Freedom Tech Center. Just a lot happening. (00:40) Of course, we've got a full list of exciting stuff coming up this coming weekend as well. Halloween on the horizon. Trick-or-treating will be going on Saturday night. We'll get to all sorts of good stuff here on what to plan for for the weekend as we move through the morning. (00:59) We're at 59 degrees right now. High of 81 this afternoon. Check your full forecast here in just a little bit. The B Team Show brought to you by our friends at Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre, Okaloosa Gas, and Outkast Sushi in Miramar Beach. (01:18) Today, Bobby, you get the chance to tell us all about our first national holiday, National Financial Crime Fighter Day. Nothing says justice like chasing a billion dollar fraud with a webinar, a lanyard, and a donut. (01:35) That's what the guy who got Jordan Belfort was doing. Exactly. National Financial Crime Fighter Day is when we all pretend the world's money problems are going to get solved by a lanyard, a webinar, and a guy named Darren who circles back for sport. (01:51) It's really a salute to the fraud hunters, the compliance lifers, and the spreadsheet sheriffs out there trying to stop scammers who treat your bank account like an all-you-can-eat buffet with no dress code. But listen, you're supposed to raise awareness, which is adorable because criminals are already extremely aware of your weak passwords and your aunt's Facebook habits. (02:14) So take a moment, tip your hat to the people doing the unglamorous work, and maybe, just maybe, don't wire your retirement to a prince with a Gmail address. There are so many more financial crimes out there than we even hear about. (02:31) National Financial Crime Fighter Day. Protect the bucks out there. All right, we've got three more national holidays to get to. Plus, again, a full listing of local events we'll talk about, and Dan Diamond's got local news coming up later on in the hour. (02:48) Right now, though, Boston, 100.3 KROCK. It's the B Team Morning Show. 100.3 KROCK, the classic rock station. It is a Monday morning. I hope everybody had a great weekend. (03:03) Scatter Black and Bobby Dewrell, the B Team Morning Show is on the air, brought to you by our friends at Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre, as well as Okaloosa Gas and Outkast Sushi in Miramar Beach. Quick reminder, tonight, Monday Night Football. Dallas and Philly, both teams are 2-4 and in need of a W. (03:23) And if you are looking for a great spot to watch Monday Night Football tonight, think about Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre. They're doing 50-cent wings every Monday through the NFL regular season. All right, well today on the National Day Calendar, Bobby, in the next one you get the chance to tell us all about Horseless Carriage Day. (03:44) Oh yeah, it's celebrating the moment we replaced hate with horsepower and somehow still can't figure out how to use turn signals. Oh, isn't that the truth? That's right. Yeah, Horseless Carriage Day is the annual moment we all pretend the invention of a car was a polite little upgrade. (04:01) You know, and not the opening act for a century of honking debt and grown adults screaming in parking lots. Look, it tips its hat to the early machines that looked like a fancy sofa bolted to a gas leak. You know what I mean? (04:17) Back when roads were suggestions and safety was a rumor. You're supposed to marvel at the innovation, the bravery, the optimism. You know, like anybody involved could have predicted, we'd end up scheduling our entire personalities around traffic. (04:32) Anyway, celebrate horsepower, celebrate however you want. Take a drive, admire an antique, or just stand outside and listen to civilization idling. Horseless Carriage Day. All right, you know what? (04:47) Talking about people that don't know how to use turn signals after driving through Atlanta twice in the last 96 hours. I could attest to that. God, that city's a nightmare. Hey, the first thing you need to know about Atlanta is if you're not traveling at least 90 miles an hour, the cops are going to drive past you and flick you off. (05:06) Yeah, I was going about 15 over and they passed me. Yeah. Well, until we ran into traffic. And it took forever to get through Atlanta, but man. All right, that's why I don't live in a big city. 6.27 is the time we'll take a break. (05:22) A look at your forecast is coming up next. Dire Straits, Fleetwood, and Steve Miller on the way. Right here on the BT Morning Show with 100.3 KROCK. Probably should have played that song when we talked about National Financial Crime Fighter Day. (05:38) Yeah, you always have the great ideas after it's passed. Yeah, it's kind of like when you shower. That's when the brilliance comes out. Hey, good morning everybody. Happy Monday to you. Scatter Black and Bobby Dewrell, the BT Morning Show on the air. Brought to you by our friends at the Stripes Pub and Grill in Navarre. (05:53) Okaloosa Gas and Outkast Sushi in Miramar Beach. We've got local news coming your way here in just a little bit. Just a bit outside. Alright, well today on the National Day calendar, we celebrate you, Pumpkin. (06:08) It's National Pumpkin Day. Yeah, that's what we need. It's a holiday to honor the only vegetable that gets hollowed out and still ends up on the porch. Is it a vegetable? I thought it was a fruit. No, it's a vegetable. But it has seeds inside. Yeah. And? (06:23) But that's why tomatoes are a fruit. No, it's not. National Pumpkin Day is that annual moment when America looks at a perfectly innocent gourd. In the eye. And decides it needs to be worshipped. Carved, baked, spiced. (06:39) You know, occasionally turned into a porch decoration that rots like a slow apology. You know, it's a holiday built on vibes, nostalgia, and the quiet understanding that we're all one bad decision away from buying a $12 candle that smells like harvest. People will call it wholesome. (06:56) And it is. Right up until you realize the whole operation is just an orange vegetable running a nationwide emotional scam. Light the cinnamon. Sharpen the knife. And pretend this is about tradition instead of your need to fill something before winter shows up with its boot on your neck. (07:14) National Pumpkin Day. Technically, people say, well, pumpkins need to go away after Halloween. Not true. It's very Thanksgiving-y. That's right. A jack-o'-lantern needs to go away. (07:29) Why don't we call them Bob-o'-lanterns in Bob-tober? We should. I know. Missed opportunity. We're doing that for 2027. That was just the man trying to keep everybody down. That's what that was. I can picture everybody doing Bob-o'-lanterns next year, but they get like the Mr. Potato Head for Uncle Bobby. (07:46) Oh, is that what it is? Why not? You might have to work on that. It might be a merch idea. It could be. I'm trying to give you ideas here, Bobby. It's the BT Morning Show with boys and nothing but a good time. Boy, that describes a Monday. (08:01) It's 100.3 KROCK. Stay with us. Heaven's on fire. That's what KISS says. It's 100.3 KROCK, the classic rock station. 6.49 is the time the BT Morning Show is on the air. Schuyler Black and Bobby Dewrell brought to you by our friends at Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre. (08:20) Okaloosa Gas at Outkast Sushi at Miramar Beach. Again, reminder, tonight, Dallas and the Eagles. Monday Night Football. Catch it at Stripes. They're doing 50-cent wings every Monday night through the NFL regular season. Well, it's time to wrap up the National Day calendar. (08:37) I think we might have saved the best for last. Worldwide Howl at the Moon Night. Oh yeah, because nothing says civilization like adults yelling out a rock in the sky and calling it self-care. Howl! Werewolves London. (08:53) Should have cued that one, too. What are we doing? Who picks this stuff? I wish I had time. Who picks this stuff? Worldwide Howl at the Moon Night is that annual group project where grown adults step outside, look up at a rock in the sky, and scream like it personally wronged them. (09:16) See, the idea is simple. At a set time, everybody howls together, which sounds spiritual until you remember half the neighborhood can't operate a turn signal without supervision. So it's part solidarity, part stress relief, and part, I swear I'm fine, said through clenched teeth. (09:31) But look, think of it as a low-budget reset button for the human nervous system. It's loud, it's awkward, and somehow still better than small talk. That's right. Worldwide Howl at the Moon Night. (09:46) There you go. Who did it better? Me. Should we take a poll? 651 is the time we're not talking about losing, Bobby. That's right. Quick break. A look at your Marine Report is coming up. 38 special just around the corner as we work our way to 7 o'clock. It's the B Team Morning Show on 100.3 KROCK. (10:10) ZZ Top showing off the legs this Monday morning on the classic rock station, 100.3 KROCK. Hope everybody had a good weekend. Football-wise, there were another number of upsets that happened over the course of the weekend. Ole Miss went down. Tennessee went down. Alabama did win. I was not at all happy with that Auburn performance. They hosted LSU on Saturday and that was pitiful. Pitiful. Hard to even watch. So there wasn't much more on that eagle this weekend. Monday night football tonight, Philly and the Cowboys. That is in Philadelphia tonight. (11:01) If you didn't get your fill of college or NFL over the weekend, maybe tonight will satisfy you. Alright folks, here's a few stories that we're working on for this morning. We're going to talk about a Santa Rosa Beach wildfire that started Saturday afternoon. That is 90% contained now. No injuries reported. We'll get the details on that. We'll talk about an Okaloosa County man getting 40 years for shooting at a FedEx truck and a pedestrian was killed up in Santa Rosa County over the weekend after being struck by a vehicle. We'll talk about that story and more as we move through the morning. (11:44) How are you doing on this Monday? I've made it this far. So are we calling that a win? Sure. Let's go with that. We set the bar really low, folks, on Mondays. And we gradually raise it up as we get through the week until Friday. Friday we set it back low again because we just want to roll into the weekend. Coast, if you will. (12:05) It's the B Team Morning Show, brought to you by our friends at Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre, Okaloosa Gas at Outkast Sushi, and Miramar Beach. Early voting going on the rest of the week, and of course, Election Day next Tuesday. Midterms on the horizon. (12:25) Don Henley and Dirty Laundry, 707 is the time. It's the B Team Morning Show on 100.3 KROCK, the Classic Rock Station. .3 KROCK, the Classic Rock Station. Good morning, everybody. It is a Monday. And you know what? (12:46) Actually for a Monday, it doesn't feel too much like a Monday. It feels more like a Tuesday to me. Is it because I woke up on the right side of the bed, or is it just because I'm screwed up? I have no idea. You don't know? You're not explaining things for me here, Bobby. You're just saying you don't make sense. (13:04) Yep. Okay. Hey, shout out to our friends in Niceville. Niceville Girls Volleyball defeated 7th-seeded Gainesville in a Region 1 5A semifinal Saturday. And the Eagles move on to the state tournament's Elite Eight for the first time since 2020. Niceville High School Volleyball will host 4th-seeded Middleburg on Wednesday for a Final Four berth, relying on contributions from their full roster depth to overcome a five-set marathon. Scoring that five-set match was 25-18, 20-25, 25-13, 21-25, and 15-9 in the fifth and decisive set. So back-and-forth match all the way through, but congratulations, ladies. Moving on to the Elite Eight. And again, hosting Middleburg Wednesday for a Final Four opportunity. (14:01) Yeah. And Middle School Volleyball, I think, I believe Liza Jackson takes on Ruckle today. Oh, really? For the Middle School Championship. That's pretty cool. That's pretty cool. So the girls have been doing really well. (14:17) Bobby's cheering for the Liza Lions today. Yes, sir. There you go. An Okaloosa County man, Brian Quinones, 29, was sentenced to 40 years in prison for shooting at an occupied FedEx delivery truck in Okaloosa County back in September of 2024. During the incident, two people were inside the vehicle and multiple shots were fired, with bullets striking both the passenger side and driver's side windshields. Quinones was found guilty by a jury in June of this year, following an investigation by the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office. (14:53) You've got to be crazy just to shoot at a vehicle with people in it. Yeah. 40 years. Yep. Sounds like it was deserved. All right. About 20 minutes away, we'll check Uncle Bobby. Get that daily advice coming your way at around 745. We'll look at the inbox and see what we're working with this Monday morning. The B Team Morning Show brought to you by Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre, Okaloosa Gas at Outkast Sushi at Miramar Beach on 100.3 KROCK. (15:22) Round after round was fired at FAMU in Tallahassee Saturday night. Did you hear about that? Yeah. Shooting near a college football stadium in Florida Saturday night left 11 people with gunshot wounds, including six children. The youngest victim was just 11 years old. The gunfire erupted near Florida A&M University in Tallahassee. Now, police believe a fight between two or three people may have sparked the shooting, but it's unclear whether the incident was connected to the game and police are still searching for the suspect or suspects. (15:59) But yeah, that one happened right down I-10 the other night at the Florida A&M football stadium just outside the stadium. Crazy stuff there, folks. It's nuts. (16:14) All right, stay with us here in about five minutes or so. Your Daily Advice with Uncle Bobby is coming up. We'll see what the inbox looks like this morning. I haven't even peeked at it yet. Oh, yeah? Uh-huh. I see. Okay. Stick tight. That question for Uncle Bobby is coming up in just a few. (16:37) Stay with us. It's the B Team Morning Show, 7.42 on a Monday. You're rocking with 100.3 KROCK. We'd broken up for good just an hour before, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh. Now I'm staring at the bodies as he's dancing across the floor, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh. And then the band slowed the tempo and the music drew down, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh. It was the same old song with the melancholy sound, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh. They don't write like that anymore. They just don't write like that anymore. We've been living together for a million years, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh. (17:35) And I feel so strange, I look at the spheres, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh. And then the cue box plays the song I used to know, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh. And now I'm staring at the bodies as they're dancing so slow, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh. They don't write like that anymore. They don't write like that anymore. (18:14) Mm, no one looks at you staring at an A-class, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh. Cause it's so easy to say that you forget your affairs, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh. They don't write like that anymore. No, they just don't write like that anymore. They don't write like that anymore. (18:54) They just don't write like that anymore. They just don't. No, they don't. No, no. (19:09) Uh-huh. They just don't write like that anymore. So much for business. What comes next is personal. This is 103 KROCK. This is 103 KROCK. (19:27) This is 103 KROCK. (19:59) I was just 13 when I had to leave home. Knew I couldn't stick around. I had it wrong, ain't good looking. But you know I ain't shy, ain't afraid to look it girl. So if you need some lovin' and you need it right away. (20:18) Take a little time out and maybe I'll stay. But I got you real more a-ramblin' now. Real more a-ramblin' now. Real more a-ramblin' now. (20:34) Real more a-ramblin' now. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Ha, ha, bring it on, come on now. Yeah, all right. (20:51) Here we go, now, now, now. I got you runnin' cause you know I need some. Ain't gonna run a-lovin' and I must run. Gotta keep a-movin', never gonna slow down. You can have your funky world, see you around. (21:08) Cause I got you real more a-ramblin' now. I got you real more a-ramblin' now. I got you real more a-ramblin' now. I got you real more a-ramblin', gamblin' now. (21:25) Oh, I'm just a rambler, yeah. I'm just a gambler, come on and sing along. Cause I'm just a rambler, ramblin' now. A-rambler, gamblin' now. (21:42) A-rambler, ramblin' now. 100.3 KROCK, the Classic Rock Station. Bob Seger's Ramblin' Gamblin' Man on a Monday morning. Hope everybody's doing well. Schuyler Black and Bobby Dewrell. (21:58) The B Team Morning Show on the air. Gonna see a high today of about 81 degrees. You know what? For the last week of October, that is not too shabby at all. Beautiful weather today and all week long. (22:13) We'll check your forecast in just a little bit. But first, it's time to get to some advice. That's right. It's Ask Uncle Bobby. Brought to you by our friends at Hard Rock Bet. That's right. You know what? Some days it's difficult to find a game to watch, but not today. (22:28) No, it's a sports equinox. There's football, baseball, basketball, and hockey are all on the schedule. And Hard Rock Bet lets you get in on the action across your favorite sports with promos to make the day even more exciting. Four sports, one big day. Hard Rock Bet, Florida's only legal sports book. (22:46) Offered by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Must be 21 and over and physically present in Florida to wager. Terms and conditions apply. Concerned about your gambling? We'll call or text 1-833-PLAYWISE. All right. Well, Uncle Bobby, today in the inbox you get a question from Serving the Wreckage. (23:03) Dear Uncle Bobby, HR sent our annual engagement survey and swears it is completely anonymous. Then it asked for my department team, tenure band, job level, and manager's name. (23:19) And there's only four of us under that manager. Now, I'm annoyed enough to answer honestly, but not quite dumb enough to ignore the tiny alarm bell in my skull. So, should I tell the truth? First of all, anonymous my foot. (23:36) Look, that survey's not anonymous. That's a census with a smiley face on it. If they ask for your department team, tenure band, job level, and manager's name, they don't need your name. They built a little cardboard cutout for you and put it in a conference room next to a stale muffin. (23:54) Look, I've filled out these things for 30 years. Look, paper forms, email links, fancy portals with blue buttons that say your voice matters. You know what's changed? The font. Once, once, I remember a whole team honestly answered. (24:10) And three months later, they were restructured, which is corporate for moving furniture around after the house catches fire and blaming the couch, right? Look, HR will tell you it's aggregated. Sure, sure. And my old answering machine was private until my brother hit play in the kitchen while my mother was making meatloaf, right? (24:30) Aggregated means somebody can squint at a bar chart and say, interesting, the four people under Denise seem unhappy about workload. Well, congratulations, you're now a theme. See, here's what the company wants. (24:45) It wants to ask how you feel so it can file the answer, not fix it. See, it wants a slide in March called key themes. It wants a follow-up meeting where everybody says communication 14 times and nobody communicates a damn thing. (25:02) Then, then they'll form a committee, schedule three meetings, cancel two, and decide the real issue is that employees need more clarity about existing priorities. That sentence has put stronger men than me into a thousand-yard stare. (25:18) So look, don't pour your actual heart into a forum owned by the people who control your badge. No, no, no. I'm not saying lie. I'm saying be employable. Give them a firm, unremarkable four out of five, never a one, never a five, and one gets attention, right? (25:36) A five makes you look like you either misunderstood the question or you've been living in the supply closet eating toner. Four says things are fine enough. Please go bother accounting. See, see, if there's a comment box, you write something boring and true, more consistent communication around priorities would be helpful. (25:56) See, is it bland? Oh, hell yes, it's bland. That's the point. You want oatmeal, not fireworks. Fireworks are pretty until the guy with the clipboard asks who lit them. See, save honesty for the exit interview when they cannot do anything about either. (26:13) Until then, trust nobody with a clipboard, a link, or a promise of anonymity written by the same outfit that tracks when you badge into the building, okay? Okay, there's your response, surveying the wreckage. (26:32) It's 7.52. The B Team Morning Show rolls on in just a few moments. I want to remind you folks, if you missed any of the past Uncle Bobby episodes, you can find them online at thebteamshow.com, or if you go to dewbob.com, D-E-W-Bob.com, you can find all the past episodes in your exclusive Dew Bob merch. (26:51) Absolutely. All right. It's all right there. We're going to take a break, pay a couple bills, and look at local news is coming up next on the B Team Morning Show with 100.3 KROCK. 0.3 KROCK. It's Monday morning. The B Team Morning Show is on the air. (27:06) I'm Scott Lerblack. Bobby Dewrell will be back on the air with us in just a few minutes. B Team Show brought to you by our friends at Outkast Sushi, Okaloosa Gas, and Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre, where Stripes is your Monday night football headquarters. (27:21) Tonight, the Eagles and the Cowboys, and every Monday at Stripes through the NFL regular season, you can get 50-cent wings at Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre. Pittsburgh Steelers took down the Saints yesterday in the first ever NFL game to be played in France. (27:41) 16-10 was the score in that game. The Panthers and the Bucks, Tampa Bay took down Carolina 43-12. The Cleveland Browns took down the Titans 27-24 in a barn burner. (27:57) The Giants and Texans dueled out another close one, but New York comes out with the win over Houston 27-21. The Vikings took down the Colts 16-10, and Minnesota moves to 6-0 on the season. (28:13) In the Dolphins and Jets matchup, Miami took down the Jets 28-25 to get the first win of the season for the Dolphins. The Atlanta Falcons also defeated the San Francisco 49ers 29-20 to give San Fran their first loss of the season. (28:34) Ravens and Bengals, Cincinnati beat the Ravens 35-13. Quarterback Joe Burrow passed for 292 yards and 4 TDs. Packers and Lions, Detroit took down the Green Bay Packers 20-17. (28:53) The Raiders and Rams, LA Rams beat the Raiders 35-21. Broncos and Cardinals, Denver took down Arizona 30-16. Sunday night football last night, defense for the Kansas City Chiefs was non-existent. (29:10) Seattle taken down KC 20-3, and Kansas City's first loss of the season. So there you go. There's a little NFL recap from the weekend and again tonight. The Cowboys and the Eagles. (29:25) It's 8.13. This is the B Team Morning Show. It's 8.23 on a beautiful Monday morning. I know Mondays are hard to call beautiful, but there's plenty of sunshine. 63 right now, a high today, right around 80 degrees. (29:41) And we're going to stick close to 80 all week long with low chances of rain through the weekend. So we'll take it, folks. We'll take it. If you're planning to do some trick-or-treating with kiddos Saturday night, right now the weather looks favorable. (29:57) Well, Bobby, over the weekend... First responders were on the scene of an outside fire near Seacrest and Satinwood Drive in Santa Rosa Beach starting around 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. No structures were damaged and no people were hurt. The fire, as of Saturday night, was 90 percent contained. Three acres of the Point Washington State Forest area were affected. According to officials with the Florida Forest Service, the cause of the fire is under investigation. Temporary evacuations were put in place as a precaution in neighborhoods south and west of the fire. Just before 4 p.m., all evacuation precautions were lifted. Florida Forest Service crews said they will stay on scene and continue to monitor the fire until it is completely contained. But yeah, scary stuff there. A little fire that thankfully Fire Service and fire departments across the area were able to contain. 90 percent was the last update on that. So good news on that front. But still, definitely wildfires can be a scary thing. All right. (31:09) High school football back on the gridiron this Friday night. We're going to carry the Choctaw Big Green Indians and the rest of their season games on 94.3 FTW and we'll carry the Niceville Eagles and the rest of their season games on 103.7 The Ticket. Of course, next week is that big rivalry matchup that was rescheduled. The Vikings and the Indians. (31:29) Choctaw and Fort Walton Beach. Yes, two high schools, one city. Somebody's getting bragging rights. So just know that is coming up next week. All right, we're going to take a break, pay a couple bills. Bobby and I have music on the way from Def Leppard, Whitesnake, the Talking Heads and more on The Classic Rock Station, 100.3 KROCK. The Classic Rock Station. (31:55) It's the BT Morning Show brought to you by our friends at Stripes Pub and Grill in Novar, Okaloosa Gas and Outkast Sushi in Miramar Beach. Well, new news this morning coming in, a man from Fort Walton Beach has pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including drug trafficking and firearms charges. Comes out of the state of Maryland. And this is an interesting one. A Maryland man living in a Baltimore County sewer was arrested for harassing several people. Yeah. A woman said her 21-year-old daughter called her to say a man was yelling at them from under a manhole cover and told them to get away. When the woman went to confront the man, he also told her to leave him alone. The woman called the police and told them about the man yelling at her children as well as how he chased them. The man was charged with trespassing, but he has already been released from jail. What a weirdo. Sounds like Pennywise the Clown in the sewers. Yeah. Bring back it. All right. It's 8.49.
