Election Day & the Seven-App Apocalypse: How Modern Parenting Became Air Traffic Control
Description
We celebrated National Housewife Day, Give Someone a Dollar Day, and Cliché Day—all on Election Day, because apparently the universe has a sense of humor about democracy and domestic labor existing in the same 24-hour window.

Schuyler Black and Bobby Dewrell kicked off Tuesday, November 3rd on 100.3 KROCK, Fort Walton Beach's classic rock station, with a sardonic salute to the calendar's finest contributions to human absurdity. First up: National Housewife Day—that polite little speed bump where America pretends it just noticed the unpaid CEO of logistics, sanitation, and "where's my other shoe?" It's celebrated with flowers that'll die by Thursday and promises that expire at sundown. Then there's Give Someone a Dollar Day, a civic experiment where we all pretend a single buck still has feelings—basically a social prank the size of kindness. And because it's Election Day, we also got Cliché Day, the precious little holiday where we dust off every "it is what it is" and trot them out like verbal packaging peanuts. Partly sunny skies and a high of 79 degrees set the tone for a day that would require both patience and a sense of humor.
The show—brought to you by Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre, Okaloosa Gas, and OutKast Sushi in Miramar Beach—dove into local happenings with the urgency of a man who just realized his charger's dying. There's the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce First Friday Coffee coming up (7–9 a.m. at First Baptist Church on First Street in Fort Walton Beach), the 30A Barbecue Festival Friday night at Grand Boulevard in Sandestin, and the Emerald Coast Rodeo this weekend at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville. Also on deck: the America 250 Grand Parade Saturday in Crestview and next Wednesday's Mary Esther Veterans Day Parade at the Santa Rosa Mall parking lot. Plus, a community garden planning meeting Saturday morning at 10 a.m. (45 West Audrey Drive) for anyone who wants to dig in—literally.
Bobby's "Ask Uncle Bobby" segment—sponsored by Hard Rock Bet—tackled the modern parent's nightmare: seven different school apps for grades, lunch money, bus updates, and permission slips. His advice? Make the school name the one channel that matters, then mute the rest. You're not bad at parenting; you're just being asked to serve as unpaid dispatch for a system that bought seven whistles and called it a symphony. Meanwhile, local news included a shed fire off Benning Drive in Destin, a tragic fatal crash near Miramar Beach, and the Air Commando Heritage Foundation receiving Lockheed Martin support to build a museum at Holbrook Field's Memorial Air Park. Oh, and a Florida Man who flipped his truck after a police chase asked officers for a cigarette before getting arrested—because priorities.
The guys also reminded listeners about tonight's fish fry fundraiser for Fort Walton Beach High School Head Football Coach Josh Pulliam and his family (5 p.m., $10 per meal, food courtesy of Dewey Destin), plus tomorrow night's Vikings vs. Indians game on 103.7. Election Day polls opened at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.—plenty of time to exercise your civic duty before settling in with a cold one and some classic rock. For a full schedule of events, show notes, and past "Ask Uncle Bobby" episodes, head to thebteamshow.com or dewbob.com for exclusive merch. Until tomorrow, keep rocking, keep rolling, and never settle for the ordinary—because on KROCK, we sure as hell don't.

(00:00) Here's today's B Team Redux. My fire on the classic rock station. 100.3 KROCK. Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Tuesday, November 3rd. How's everybody doing? It's the B Team Morning Show. Schuyler Black and Bobby Dewrell brought to you by our friends at Stripes Pub and Grill in Navarre, as well as Okaloosa Gas and Outkast Sushi in Miramar Beach. As we move through the morning, we'll talk about local events. We'll talk about a recap of last night's Monday night action between the Bears and the Seahawks and preview some upcoming college football action for the weekend as well. Taking a quick look at your forecast, partly sunny skies today and a high of 79 degrees. We're going to stick in the upper 70s here the rest of the work week. That full forecast is coming up in just a little bit, but Mr. Dewrell, as we open up the show this morning, we take a look at the National Day calendar and first of all, happy holiday to you. National Housewife Day. Yeah, yeah, because apparently running the whole damn house still needs a holiday to get a thanks and a sink full of dishes. National Housewife Day is that annual calendar speed bump where America pretends it's just now. Notice the person who's been keeping the whole operation from collapsing like a lawn chair at a cookout. Yeah, see, it's a it's a polite little nod to the unpaid CEO of logistics, sanitation, diplomacy, and where's my other shoe? You know, it's usually celebrated with flowers that'll die by Thursday and promise to help move help more that that while expires at sundown. You know, look, the holiday itself is ridiculous, sure, but the work behind it isn't. And that's the the part that makes everybody shift in their seat. So today, we salute the domestic frontline. And then we're, we're going to talk about why it took a made up day to do it. (01:58) National Housewife Day. It's their monthly First Friday coffee event from seven until 9pm at First Baptist Church on First Friday on First Street in First Walton Beach. That's right. So don't miss out. If you are a chamber member, make sure you RSVP with Rochelle or any chamber employee to make sure they've got enough food for you on Friday. And it's not too late to join the Chamber of Commerce. (02:54) Sure, they've got enough food for you on Friday. And it's not too late to join the chamber this week, if you are not a member and attend Friday's event. Well, taking a look at the National Day calendar, Bobby, today, we celebrate give someone $1 day, finally, a holiday I can afford without refinancing my dignity. Yeah, there you go. This one fits your budget. That's right. By the way, my name is someone Give someone $1 today day is well, it's that little civic experiment where we all pretend to single buck still has feelings. You know, you hand it to a stranger, a coworker, your nephew, the guy behind you online doesn't matter. Because the whole point is the tiny jolt of generosity and the even tinier jolt of confusion. You know, it's not charity. It's it's not economics. It's a it's a social prank. The size is kindness and somehow it works. So keep a few singles in mind. (03:45) It's handy and try not to act like you're buying their their silence, even if that's your long term strategy. That's right. Give someone $1 day, you know, it's not lost on me that today's election day. And well, we're making it give someone $1 day. Yeah, kind of goes. I guess that's one way to get the vote goes hand in hand, right? $1 for a vote hand in hand. Yeah. All right. Hey, quick break and a look at your marine forecast is coming up next on 100.3 KROCK. (04:14) Standby for more rock 100.3 KROCK. Led Zeppelin and the ocean on the classic rock station 100.3 KROCK. It's The B Team morning show rocket and rolling on Tuesday, November 3. Lots coming up the next several days. We've got first Friday coffee with the greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce Friday morning. You've also got the 30 day barbecue festival Friday night out at Grand Boulevard at Sandestin. (04:44) The Emerald Coast Rodeo is happening this weekend as well at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville. Just a ton of stuff going on. Also, the America 250 Grand Parade Saturday up in Crestview and a lot planned for next week as well. So if you would like to find a full schedule of local events, we've got it for you on our website. Just go to The B Team show dot com. That is The B Team show dot com. (05:10) And today on Tuesday, November 3, Bobby, it's cliche day. Yeah, again, tell me it's election day without telling me it's election day. Well, there you go. Because, you know, this is the day where people celebrate originality by saying the same tired nonsense proven even creativity takes a day off. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. (05:28) Hey, folks, cliche day is that previous or excuse me, that precious little holiday where we all agree to stop pretending we're original and just speak in pre chewed fortune cookie fragments like it's civic duty. You know, you dust off every it is what it is and live in the dream. You've been stockpiling went then. Yeah, you trot them out like they're the wisdom instead of verbal packaging peanuts. Yeah, yeah. The whole point is to celebrate how language is important. (05:58) Language can keep moving even when the brain is parked in neutral. So buckle up buttercup. Today, we're taking the road. Let's travel. And by that, I mean, one paved with the same tired phrases. Everybody swears they don't use a cliche day. Yeah, that is very appropriate for election day. I won't argue. All right, stick tight. Dan Diamond's got a look at local news coming up in just a little bit. Also music from Tesla after this one by request from Bobby. It's Aussie. (06:27) Over the mountain. There's Tesla, the classic rock station 100.3 k rockets, The B Team morning show scatter black and Bobby do. Well, the polls are opening in less than 15 minutes, Bobby. Yep, yep. It is Tuesday, November 3rd. Election Day. That's right. The one day a year we all pretend our opinions matter. And then we spend the next four years yelling at the receipts. (06:52) That is so, so, so true. Disappointment always does. It's sacred. It's ridiculous. And it's the closest thing we've got to a national confession booth with with stickers. Election Day. That is today. Get out there and vote. If you have not, though, folks, early voting, mail in voting, obviously done here in Florida. But today is election day. You're polling place and precinct will open at 7 a.m. this morning and close at 7 p.m. tonight. (07:47) And if you go to The B Team show dot com, click on the show notes tab from yesterday. We've got the link to find out exactly where you're polling place is for today from the supervisor of elections office. All right. We'll take a break. Pay a couple bills. Dan Diamond's got local news on the way. And the 7 o'clock hour is just around the corner on 100.3 KROCK. (08:10) Stand by for more rock. 100.3 KROCK. 100.3 KROCK. The classic rock station. Good morning, everybody. And welcome to the 7 o'clock hour. The polls are now open. Yep. They will be open until 7 o'clock tonight. It is election day. Tuesday, November 3rd. The B team morning shows on the air. I'm Schuyler Black. He is Bobby Dewrell. (08:38) Monday night football last night was an absolute blowout. Yeah. Thirty four. Seventeen. The Bears take care of the Seahawks in Seattle and the defending Super Bowl champions are four and four on the season. But Chicago really, really strong start to their season six and two now at nearly the midway point of the NFL regular season. (09:04) But a lot of news this morning. Obviously, it is election day. There are tons of races out there, both local races and county races, but state offices and federal offices on the ballot today, as well as a number of amendments to the Florida Constitution when it comes to when it comes to taxation and homestead exemptions on property taxes. (09:31) So we'll get to some of that here in just a little bit. Bobby, are you having technical difficulties this morning? Yeah. What else is new? Right. That's kind of par for the course. If anything went right for Bobby in a day. Yeah, no lie. He'd start listening for angels singing. Yeah. Yeah. It'd be the end, wouldn't it? Yeah. But plenty of stories to get to this morning. We're going to talk about a fire that is The Destin Fire Rescue Fire Control District responded to yesterday. We're also going to talk about the 38 Barbecue Fest that's returning to San Destin this Friday out there at Grand Boulevard. Can you make a little more noise? I'm trying. Hey, this is what you get with live radio, folks. So while Bobby situates his charger, we'll play some music. The B Team Morning Show brought to you by Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre, Okaloosa Gas, and OutKast Sushi in Miramar Beach. Schuyler Black and Bobby Dewrell with Rainbow on the Street of Dreams on the classic rock station. 100.3. Eric Clapton on 100.3 KROCK. Let's see if we can get Bobby to make some more noise here. Yeah, it's just that morning. It's the B Team Morning Show. Schuyler Black and Bobby Dewrell brought to you by Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre as well as Okaloosa Gas and OutKast Sushi in Miramar Beach. Yesterday morning, or yesterday evening, I should say, Destin Fire Rescue was at the scene of a large shed fire off of Benning Drive. Now, crews say that the fire was contained, but heavy smoke remained in the area throughout the evening, and officials urge caution since crews were still working the area late into the evening. No other details have been released, but it looks like it was a large shed or a smaller garage structure that caught fire and did burn up a pickup truck as well. It looks like an older late 90s model Chevy 1500, but there was that fire last night over in Destin. There was also a major accident that was out there near Miramar Beach yesterday. A pickup truck with a utility trailer was traveling down 98 near the Destin East Mobile Home Park, trapping at least one occupant, where a pickup truck with a utility trailer and a smaller car collided. All lanes were shut down with authorities, warning of delays lasting from 4 to 6 hours, so that was a significant crash yesterday. Both occupants of the sedan died from their injuries. The driver of the pickup truck, a 24-year-old man, sustained critical injuries as well. So, it will be continued to be investigated that scene of that crash, but anyway, very sad story out of Miramar Beach yesterday. (12:44) So there's a couple news stories for you this morning. Now, coming up here in about 20 minutes, we're going to ask Uncle Bobby for advice. Your daily advice is on the way, plus we'll take a look at some college football matchups for the weekend as well. It's the B Team Morning Show, brought to you by Stripes Pub and Grill in Navarre, Okaloosa Gas and Outkast Sushi in Miramar Beach on 100.3 KROCK. ZZ Top and Cheap Sunglasses on 100.3 KROCK. The Classic Rock Station, it's the B Team Morning Show, 7.35 is the time. I'm Schuyler Black, he is Bobby Dewrell. I am. You still are. You still are. Learn something new every day. Our B Team Morning Show each morning is brought to you by our friends at Stripes Pub and Grill in Navarre, as well as Okaloosa Gas and Outkast Sushi in Miramar Beach. Taking a look at the college football schedule this weekend, there are six inter-top 25 matchups, ranked-on ranked matchups. Missouri and Texas, Utah, BYU, Bama and LSU will carry that one on 10.37, the ticket coming up on Saturday afternoon. Oregon and Ohio State, that's another big-time matchup. (14:04) Kentucky and Tennessee and Miami and Notre Dame, Georgia and Ole Miss. You've got a lot of ranked matchups this weekend. Time to hear from Uncle Bobby in a little bit so he can give us our gambling advice for the weekend. That's right, that's what I'll do. He'll do that here in just a little bit. Don't forget, we're going to carry that Alabama and LSU game. 2.30 kickoff from Baton Rouge Saturday afternoon on 10.37, the ticket. Then on Saturday night, 6.45 kickoff from the Swamp in Gainesville, 25th-ranked Florida hosting 4-4 Oklahoma. (14:47) For Florida State, they play Saturday morning up at Boston College, 11 o'clock kickoff on 94.3 FTW. There you go. There's a look at your college football matchups that we're going to carry on the air this weekend on our sister stations. Coming up here in less than 10 minutes, ask Uncle Bobby. Stay with us. Right now, GNR Paradise City. It's the B Team Morning Show on 100.3 KROCK. The classic rock station is 100.3 KROCK. It's the B Team Morning Show, Schuyler Black and Bobby Dewrell, brought to you by our friends at Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre, Okaloosa Gas, and OutKast Sushi in Miramar Beach. Cloudy skies this morning, a high today of about 80 degrees, but the music in the background tells us one thing, and that's it's time for your daily advice. Yeah, that's right. Ask Uncle Bobby, brought to you by Hard Rock Bet. Hey, this college football season's been full of surprises, and this week's slate of ranked matchups is set to be the most epic Saturday yet. And if you think you know how it'll all go down, well, then put your ball knowledge to the test on Hard Rock Bet, Florida's only legal sports book. (16:05) It's offered by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, U.S.B. 21 and over, physically present in Florida to wager, terms and conditions apply. Concerned about your gambling? Well, call or text 1-833 PLAYWISE. Ball knowledge. That's right, the ball knowledge. Well, today, Uncle Bobby, your question comes in from the push notification prisoner. Dear Uncle Bobby, I have one child in school, and I now have seven different apps for grades, lunch money, bus updates, sports messages, emergency alerts, classroom posts, and permission slips. And last week, my child missed a field trip form because the form was in one app and the reminder came through another. I am trying to be responsible, but I cannot check seven inboxes every night like I'm running air traffic control. (16:51) How do I keep up without turning parenting into a part-time notification job? Oh, well, first of all, the school did not create communication, okay? It created a junk drawer with a login. Yeah, yeah. You know, every vendor marched in wearing a friendly mascot and carrying a password rule written by a board prisoner architect, right? One app had lunch money, one has the bus delay, one has permission slips, one has a classroom photo of a paper turkey, 18 comments from adults pretending that it's society, and they call that streamlined because nobody in charge has been allowed to near a stream or a line. Yeah, see, that's not the teacher's fault, okay? Teachers didn't wake up and decide, you know, today I shall hide the zoo form behind a cartoon owl and let Dennis discover it after the bus leaves. Yeah, you know what? (17:48) They're trapped in the same carnival except they have to run the booth, right? Grade the worksheets and explain why glue is not a snack. See, the problem is the institution mistaking noise for clarity. Seven channels is not better service. It's a fog machine wearing a school polo. (18:09) Yeah, you know, the ugly little truth is that once every message arrives like it matters, nothing feels like it matters. Emergency alert, spirit socks, bus 12 late, volleyball snacks, math reminder, cafeteria balance, fundraiser, distinct newsletter from the super district newsletter from the superintendent, writing like he just landed on the moon. You know, same dean, same tiny shot of guilt. Your phone cannot tell the difference between a signed this medical form by Thursday and tomorrow is wear beige for reading awareness. Look, here's your move, okay? You gotta send one plain message to the office and the teacher. Say you are trying to be responsible and you need the single place for items that require actions, forms, money, deadlines, transportation charges, emergencies, not, not memories, not pumpkin updates, not a slideshow of laminated enthusiasm required required action, right? Ask which channel wins when the apps disagree. That question alone will make the machinery cough up a bolt, okay? Then demote the rest. Don't delete everything and move to the woods like a dramatic uncle with a flip phone. No, no, no, no, no. You gotta mute what can be muted, all right? Turn on email copies where they exist. Check the chosen channel one day at a time. You decide, you know, like a citizen with shoes on. Sports chatter can wait. Classroom pictures can wait. Lunch balance can wait until your child describes a cafeteria chicken with, you know, legal caution, okay? You're not bad at parenting. You're being asked to serve as an unpaid dispatch for a school system that bought seven whistles and called it a symphony. Make them name the drawer. Then stop yanking open every drawer just because one All right, there's your response this morning. Push Notification Prisoner. (20:06) All right, if you've missed any of the past Ask Uncle Bobby episodes, you can find them all at thebteamshow.com, or if you go to dewbob.com, D-E-W-B-O-B.com, you can find all the past episodes and your exclusive Dew Bob merch. It's never too early to start thinking about Christmas gifts, too. (20:23) Yeah, never. Hour three of the B Team Morning Show is underway. Schuyler Black and Bobby Dewrell brought to you by our friends at Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre, Okaloosa Gas, and Outkast Sushi in Miramar Beach. (20:38) Of course, remember, you can find us online at thebteamshow.com. All of the daily local news and information that we talk about can be found there as well, along with those national holidays we bring you during the 6 o'clock hour. The Ask Uncle Bobby feature is accessible online as well, and you can listen to the show anytime you want it as well. (20:59) It's all at thebteamshow.com, so go over there and check it out. Polls have been open for just over an hour. It is Election Day, Tuesday, November 3rd, so if you have not voted yet, make sure it's part of your plan to do so today. Now, Bobby, coming up this weekend, a group of local citizens will be holding a planning meeting for a new community garden to be located on city property just south of the Fort Walton Tennis Center. (21:25) This is a new community initiative. Anyone interested in the project is invited to join the group, which will be responsible for planning, constructing, and maintaining the garden. The project will be supported by volunteer efforts and a combination of grant sponsorships and the rental of garden plots. (21:43) For more information, please contact Parks and Rec Director Dave Flaherty at 833-9575, or you can email dflaherty at fwb.org. But that is a new project, and this meeting is set for Saturday morning at 10 a.m., 45 West Audrey Drive, right here in Fort Walton Beach. (22:04) So if you'd like to be a part of the brand new community garden, we encourage you to check it out. We've got the details on our website on the show notes tab. Just look for local news from today. All right. Coming up in just a bit, music from the Black Crows and Skinner. (22:22) Right now, Bon Jovi. Yeah. Who requested this one? It must have been Tay-Tay. It must have been. Must have been. 8-10 is the time. You're rocking with the B Team on 100.3 KROCK. Jealous again. It's 8-23, and another beautiful morning here on the Emerald Coast. (22:41) You know what? For the 3rd of November, we are having some awesome weather. That's true. We're going to see a high today of 79 across our eliciting area. And right now, outside, we're about 68 degrees. (22:57) So that is not too shabby for the first week of November. We'll check that full forecast here in just a little bit. Schuyler Black and Bobby Dewrell, the B Team Morning Show on the air. By the way, I want to pass this along. The Air Commando Heritage Foundation received support from Lockheed Martin's $25 million 25 Forward Initiative to help build a museum at Holbrook Field's Memorial Air Park. (23:21) Now, the five-year program, marking the 25th anniversary of 9-11, will help preserve Air Force Special Operations history and educate future generations about Air Commandos from World War II to present. (23:36) That was news yesterday. Also, some wild Florida man news. A Florida man who flipped his truck after leading police on a chase decided that, you know what, after he was caught, he wanted to ask the officers for a cigarette. (23:51) Police started chasing the man after he ran a red light and nearly hit another vehicle. After hitting another vehicle, then officers used a pit maneuver, which caused him to flip the truck. Now, officers ordered the man to get out of the truck, which he eventually agreed to, but asked them for a cigarette first. (24:09) Now, after getting out, he told them, F man, I'm going to jail. I just want a cigarette. He's facing several charges, including trafficking cocaine, after 28 grams of the drug were also found in his truck. Well, there you go. (24:24) So there you have it. All right. Hey, we're going to take a break, pay a couple bills. A couple more stories coming up. I think his request was that out there. They should have given him a cigarette. Yeah. Well, can you smoke in jail? I don't know. I don't know either. (24:39) Never been there. Probably not, because of the Indoor Clean Air Act. Yeah. Is that a thing in prison, too? I'm assuming. Yeah. It's a public facility. You know, I've never been in jail. Cuffs on me a couple times when I was the Grinch. (24:54) Yeah. But I've never been. Sure. Let's go with that. Never been booked. It's 825. A quick break and a look at your forecast is coming up next. Tom Petty, Super Tramp, and Styx on the way on 100.3 KROCK. Blue Collar Man on the B Team Morning Show. (25:11) Brought to you by Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre, Okaloosa Gas, and Outkast Sushi in Miramar Beach. Schuyler Black and Bobby Dewrell. Remember, you can find us online at thebteamshow.com. Don't forget about the fish fry tonight for Fort Walton Beach Head High School football coach, Josh Pulliam, and his family. (25:29) Coach Pulliam's going through some cancer treatment right now, and there is a fish fry fundraiser tonight starting at 5 p.m. at Fort Walton Beach High School. It's $10 per meal. All the food and execution of the deal, of the fundraiser, is sponsored and provided by Dewey Destin. (25:46) So I want to thank Parker Destin for stepping up and helping out with that. It's a big undertaking, but come on out and help the Pulliam family as they go through this trying time in their life. And, of course, tomorrow night is the game, Fort Walton and Choctaw. (26:03) So once we get past Election Day today, then we can give our undivided attention to the Vikings and the Indians. Yeah, why not? Hey, coming up this weekend, it's the Emerald Coast Rodeo at Northwest Florida State College. (26:20) The annual event's featuring professional rodeo action and family-friendly entertainment. The event showcases competitors and traditional rodeo events while also offering activities for kids and spectators, creating an exciting night of Western-themed entertainment for the entire family. (26:35) And tickets are available online. We've got the link to buy yours if you go to our website, thebteamshow.com. Polls are open. Have you voted yet? Bobby and I will be heading in about an hour. Yep, yep, getting that way. (26:51) ACDC, girls got rhythm. It's 100.3 KROCK. Rock of Ages, it's Def Leppard on the classic rock station, 100.3 KROCK. You know, I think it's kind of gotten lost in the shuffle a little bit because it was scheduled back in May, but don't forget about the America 250 Grand Parade this Saturday up in Crestview. (27:14) Yeah. So that is scheduled for 11 a.m. this Saturday in Crestview. We've got the details on the full day of events at our website, thebteamshow.com. Also next week, next Wednesday, is the Mary Esther Veterans Day Parade with festivities getting underway, local entertainment, children's activities and food trucks at 11 a.m. (27:37) at the Santa Rosa Mall parking lot. And at 1 p.m. the parade kicks off. The end of the festival ends at 3 p.m., but that happens next Wednesday, the Mary Esther Veterans Day Parade in celebration at the Santa Rosa Mall parking lot. (27:55) There's the Steve Miller Band on the classic rock station, 100.3 KROCK. Welcome to the 9 o'clock hour on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3rd. Schuyler Black and Bobby Dewrell, the final hour of the B Team Morning Show brought to you by our friends at Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre, Okaloosa Gas and Outkast Sushi in Miramar Beach. (28:16) Obviously, get out to your polling place and vote today. Precincts are open until 7 o'clock tonight, but we also encourage you, Bobby, to get out there and support Coach Josh Pulliam and his family. Their fish fry tonight at Fort Walton Beach High School starts at 5 o'clock. (28:32) It's $10 per meal, the fish and the dinner being provided by Dewey Destins, but all proceeds benefit Coach Pulliam and his family while he goes through cancer treatment. So that is going on tonight, and tomorrow night is the game. (28:47) That's true. That's right. So don't miss out. Fort Walton and Choctaw battling on the gridiron tomorrow night as well, and we'll have that game on 103.7. Steely Dan, April Wine, and more coming up in just a bit. (29:04) Right now, the Eagles, life in the fast lane. This is the B Team Morning Show on 104.9. Dirty White Boy on the Classic Rock Station, 100.3k Rock. It's the B Team Morning Show brought to you by our friends at Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre, as well as Okaloosa Gas and Outkast Sushi in Miramar Beach. (29:25) Don't miss out. Coming up this Friday night is the 30A Barbecue Festival at Grand Boulevard out there at Sandestin and Miramar Beach. Should be a fun event. There's going to be over 18 local and regional eateries offering unlimited barbecue samples. (29:46) You can vote for your favorites and sip complimentary beer and wine while enjoying live music from Brent Shaw and headliner River Dan. Tickets are on sale now. General admission tickets are $70. And you can purchase your tickets online at thesonderproject.org slash BBQFest, or if you go to our events tab at thebteamshow.com, you can find the link right there as well. (30:13) So don't miss out. 38 Barbecue Festival is happening on Friday night. We'll take a break, pay a couple bills, a look at your weather forecast. It's coming up in just a bit. Stay with us. 100.3 KROCK. There's Pink Floyd and have a cigar. Did you have one last night? (30:32) No. Oh, you stuck with the pipe. Yeah. Bobby made the switch to the old school pipe and tabacky, away from the cigars. That is true. Yes, thank you, Jim, for hosting Monday Night Football. And should we put Jim's address on the air? That way we can invite everybody to Monday Night Football at Jim's? (30:53) Might as well. Right down there on Brook Street. Yeah, there you go. Hey, don't miss Bobby and I broadcasting live with the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce and their First Friday Coffee function coming up on Friday morning from 7 to 9. It happens every single month on the first Friday on First Street at First Baptist Church in the city of... (31:17) First Walton Beach. That's right. One day a month we change the name of the city. But make sure you RSVP for the event on Friday morning. We'll chat with local civic organizations, local leaders, business owners, and more, and talk about all of the good things that are planned right here in the city of Fort Walton Beach and our surrounding areas on the Emerald Coast. (31:39) So that comes up on Friday morning. We've got details on that event on the events tab at thebteamshow.com. Bobby and I are getting out of here in just a little bit. It's Election Day Tuesday. We'll give you one more recap on Election Day here in just a bit. Right now, kiss. (31:56) There's the who, and who are you? Well, who are you voting for? Have you voted yet? If not, get out there. Your precincts are open until 7 o'clock tonight. There are tons of elections or races on the ballot today. Local elections, countywide, state positions as well as federal positions, and governor, obviously. But you've also got some significant amendments to the Florida Constitution as well when it comes to property taxes. So get out there, make sure you cast your vote, and make sure you're also educated as you walk into your polling place and you've got an idea of how you want to vote and why you want to vote that way. But please get out there and cast your ballots. (32:46) All right, well, Bobby, we're out of time. We've got to rock and roll here pretty much. We're coming up on 10 o'clock in just a few minutes. So I hope all of you have a safe and enjoyable rest of your Tuesday. If you missed anything we talked about on the air today, you can find it all online at thebteamshow.com. From local news and events to your daily national holidays, the Ask Uncle Bobby feature and so much more, it's all at thebteamshow.com. (33:11) Thanks to our sponsors in part, including Stripes Pub & Grill in Navarre, Okaloosa Gas at Outkast Sushi in Miramar Beach. Until tomorrow morning, I'm Schuyler Black, Bobby Durrell, get us on out.
