Ask Uncle Bobby
Bad advice for good people.
As heard on the B-Team Morning Show
Each weekday, some poor soul writes in for help. Uncle Bobby gives them the worst advice we can legally put on the air.
November 3 · Today's Letter
Dear Uncle Bobby,
I have one child in school, and I now have seven different apps for grades, lunch money, bus updates, sports messages, emergency alerts, classroom posts, and permission slips. Last week my child missed a field trip form because the form was in one app and the reminder came through another. I am trying to be responsible, but I cannot check seven inboxes every night like I am running air traffic control. How do I keep up without turning parenting into a part-time notification job?

Celebrate the weird stuff. We do.
Holiday #1 of 4
Cliché Day
Cliché Day is that precious little holiday where we all agree to stop pretending we’re original and just speak in pre-chewed fortune-cookie fragments like it’s a civic duty. You dust off every “it is what it is” and “living the dream” you’ve been stockpiling, then you trot them out like they’re wisdom instead of verbal packing peanuts. The whole point is to celebrate how language can keep moving even when the brain is parked in neutral. So buckle up, buttercup—today we’re taking the road less traveled, and by that I mean the one paved with the same tired phrases everybody swears they don’t use.
