Ask Uncle Bobby

Bad advice for good people.

As heard on the B-Team Morning Show

Each weekday, some poor soul writes in for help. Uncle Bobby gives them the worst advice we can legally put on the air.

October 26 · Today's Letter

Dear Uncle Bobby,

HR sent our annual engagement survey and swears it is completely anonymous. Then it asks for my department, team, tenure band, job level and manager's name, and there are only four of us under that manager. I am annoyed enough to answer honestly, but not quite dumb enough to ignore the tiny alarm bell in my skull, so should I tell the truth?

Today's Holidays

Celebrate the weird stuff. We do.

Holiday #1 of 4

Worldwide Howl at the Moon Night

Worldwide Howl at the Moon Night is that annual group project where grown adults step outside, look up at a rock in the sky, and scream like it personally wronged them. The idea is simple: at a set time, everybody howls together, which sounds spiritual until you remember half the neighborhood can’t operate a turn signal without supervision. It’s part solidarity, part stress relief, part “I swear I’m fine” said through clenched teeth. Think of it as a low-budget reset button for the human nervous system—loud, awkward, and somehow still better than small talk.
