Ask Uncle Bobby

Bad advice for good people.

As heard on the B-Team Morning Show

Each weekday, some poor soul writes in for help. Uncle Bobby gives them the worst advice we can legally put on the air.

October 19 · Today's Letter

Dear Uncle Bobby,

My boss messaged me "hey, got a sec?" at 4:52 on a Friday. No context. Then nothing for forty minutes. By the time they called, I had rewritten my resignation letter in my head and replayed every meeting from the past month. It was about the parking lot. How do I stop doing this to myself every time someone sends me "got a sec?"

Today's Holidays

Celebrate the weird stuff. We do.

Holiday #1 of 4

Dress Like a Dork Day

Dress Like a Dork Day is that annual civic ceremony where grown adults cosign their own humiliation on purpose, then call it “fun” like that makes it less damning. You throw on the socks-and-sandals, the taped-up glasses, the pocket protector—whatever flavor of awkward you can stomach—and pretend you’re doing it ironically, which is adorable. The real tradition is watching people discover there’s a thin, fragile line between costume and autobiography. Don’t worry, we’re not here to judge… we’re here to take notes.
