Ask Uncle Bobby

Bad advice for good people.

As heard on the B-Team Morning Show

Each weekday, some poor soul writes in for help. Uncle Bobby gives them the worst advice we can legally put on the air.

October 6 · Today's Letter

Dear Uncle Bobby,

I got invited to my thirty-year high school reunion and it is a Facebook event with 84 interested and 9 going. Tickets are sixty-five dollars and they are doing name tags with senior photos. I can not decide whether to go or just disappear. What do I do?

Today's Holidays

Celebrate the weird stuff. We do.

Holiday #1 of 4

Come and Take It Day

Come and Take It Day is that annual civic ritual where folks dust off the old Gonzales cannon story from 1835, slap the slogan on everything that’ll hold ink, and act like history is a gym membership they definitely use. It’s Texas pride in its purest form: equal parts frontier grit, inheritance dispute, and a group project where nobody can agree what the assignment was, but everybody swears they got an A. The whole thing is absurd on purpose, like a parade for a mood, and the mood is “try me.” And if you’re listening for nuance, don’t worry—this holiday brought none, but it did bring merch.
