Ask Uncle Bobby

Bad advice for good people.

As heard on the B-Team Morning Show

Each weekday, some poor soul writes in for help. Uncle Bobby gives them the worst advice we can legally put on the air.

October 1 · Today's Letter

Dear Uncle Bobby,

My coworker’s kid is selling wrapping paper again, and the order form is on the break room counter. I’ve bought something every year for four years from different coworkers’ kids, and now the parent keeps making eye contact when I walk by. How do I get out of this without looking like a jerk?

Today's Holidays

Celebrate the weird stuff. We do.

Holiday #1 of 4

Homemade Cookie Day

Homemade Cookie Day is that unofficial national agreement where grown adults pretend flour is therapy and the oven is a personality trait. You “just whip up a batch,” which is cute, because nothing says peace on earth like a kitchen dusted in powdered sugar and quiet resentment. The whole point is simple: make something from scratch, give it away like you’re generous, and keep the good ones “for later” like a squirrel with a mortgage. It’s wholesome, it’s ridiculous, and it’s one mixing bowl away from becoming an incident report.
