Florida Dept. Of Health Issues Advisory For Cinco Bayou

City Of Fort Walton BeachThe Florida Department of Health in Okaloosa County has issued a health advisory for Cinco Bayou in Fort Walton Beach after water samples collected on August 3, 2026, showed elevated bacteria levels; drinking water is not affected. Residents and visitors are advised to avoid all water-related activities at the site because contact with the contaminated water could increase the risk of illness, particularly for children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems. The advisory will remain in effect until follow-up testing confirms bacteria levels have returned to safe standards, at which point the Department of Health will announce its removal.

Ask Uncle Bobby

Bad advice for good people.

As heard on the B-Team Morning Show

Each weekday, some poor soul writes in for help. Uncle Bobby gives them the worst advice we can legally put on the air.

August 6 · Today's Letter

Dear Uncle Bobby,

I keep binge-watching all weekend and I feel like I am wasting my life. How do I stop turning into a couch potato and actually do something with myself?

Today's Holidays

Celebrate the weird stuff. We do.

Holiday #1 of 4

Wiggle Your Toes Day

Wiggle Your Toes Day is that annual reminder that civilization is hanging by a thread, and that thread is apparently attached to your feet. The premise is simple: you wiggle your toes like it’s self-care, like you didn’t spend the other 364 days stuffing them into shoes that smell like regret and bad decisions. People swear it “grounds” them, which is funny because the only thing it reliably connects you to is the fact that you’re still alive and still not using that gym membership. So go ahead—give those little freeloaders a shake, take a deep breath, and brace yourself, because this is how the calendar warms up before it starts asking you to celebrate even dumber things.
