DeFuniak Man Arrested For Having Sex With Family Dog

Walton County Sheriff's OfficeA DeFuniak Springs man is facing two counts of felony sexual contact with an animal after he is seen on video having sex with the family dog. On Tuesday, a witness came to the Walton County Sheriff's Office to report that they had seen the acts on the home's camera system. The witness told deputies they had brought the outdoor camera system inside to charge on Tuesday morning, and when they left the home, they received a motion notification from the camera. That's when the witness noticed 75-year-old Gary Lee Denison, nude from the waist down, having sex with the female dog while seated in a recliner inside the home. While at the Walton County Sheriff's Office, the witness got another notification to which she was able to actively show Denison, again, engaging in sexual acts with the animal. Deputies and Office of the City Marshal, DeFuniak Springs Police responded to Denison's home off Twin Lakes Drive, where he was taken into custody. The dog was brought to the Walton County Animal Shelter for a medical evaluation. Denison is charged with two counts of sexual contact with an animal. He was transported and booked into the Walton County Jail, where he is awaiting first appearance.

Okaloosa County Sheriff's OfficeThe Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office arrested three people following the execution of a narcotics search warrant at a home on Alden Drive in Fort Walton Beach on June 30, where deputies discovered unsafe and unsanitary living conditions. Investigators reported the residence was infested with rats, covered in rodent droppings, lacked clean running water, and had inadequate food. A young child found inside the home was removed for safety. Eveland Colbert, 22, was charged with child neglect without great bodily harm and violation of probation, and deputies also recovered a firearm and ammunition she was prohibited from possessing. Observant Citizen Leads To Arrest In Crestview

Okaloosa County Sheriff's OfficeA 40-year-old Crestview man was arrested after an alert citizen reported suspicious activity at a burglarized property on Mount Olive Road. The victim discovered that a residence and barn had been broken into and later spotted the same GMC pickup truck returning to the property, prompting a call to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office. Deputies stopped the vehicle and, with the driver's consent, searched it, recovering about $1,800 worth of stolen property belonging to the victim. Investigators also found fentanyl, promethazine, Valium, methamphetamine residue, drug paraphernalia, and a concealed knife. Because Robert Andrew Robinson is a convicted felon, he was additionally charged with possessing a weapon. Robinson claimed he believed the property had been abandoned, but the victim said he did not have permission to be there or remove any items. He now faces charges including burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, grand theft, multiple drug possession and paraphernalia offenses, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Holiday #1 of 4

Be a Kid Again Day

Be a Kid Again Day is that annual reminder that adulthood is mostly paperwork, back pain, and pretending you don’t miss the days when your biggest problem was a Capri Sun shortage. The premise is simple: ditch the dignity, lower your standards, and do something reckless-but-legal like coloring outside the lines, eating dessert first, or sprinting for no reason and immediately regretting it. It’s not about “healing your inner child” so much as giving your outer adult a 24-hour ceasefire from responsibility and self-respect. Consider it a sanctioned relapse into joy—temporary, suspicious, and somehow still cheaper than therapy.
