Troy Advances In CWS - Faces WV Tomorrow In Omaha

ESPNTroy has already proven it belongs on college baseball's biggest stage, and the Trojans will look to keep their remarkable postseason run alive when they face West Virginia in an elimination game at the College World Series. The Mountaineers have enjoyed a historic season and edged Troy earlier in Omaha, but the Trojans have shown too much resilience to be counted out. After rallying from a four-run deficit to eliminate Ole Miss, Troy enters with confidence, battle-tested by one of the nation's toughest schedules and fueled by a lineup capable of erupting at any moment behind standout catcher Jimmy Janicki. For a program just a few hours down the road from home, this run has captured the imagination of fans across the region, and the Trojans will once again embrace the underdog role with the belief that their grit, toughness and timely hitting can extend an unforgettable season by one more day.

US and Iran Reach Peace Deal

Wall Street JournalAfter four months of conflict that shook global politics and disrupted energy markets, the United States and Iran say they have agreed to halt military operations, marking a significant step toward ending the war. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that a formal signing ceremony is expected to take place Friday in Switzerland and said both nations had committed to an immediate end to fighting on all fronts, including in Lebanon, although major unresolved issues have been deferred to future negotiations, raising questions about the durability of the agreement. President Trump later declared on social media that the deal with Iran was complete, announcing the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping and the lifting of the U.S. naval blockade, signaling hopes for a return to stability in global oil markets.

Western Gulf Low To Bring A Rainy Week To FL Panhandle

Get The CoastOkaloosa County residents should prepare for a soggy stretch of weather this week as a developing tropical system is expected to push deep moisture into the region, increasing the chances for widespread showers and thunderstorms. Okaloosa County Says It's Planning To Charge For Parking and Boat Ramps

WEAR TV3Okaloosa County leaders are considering a proposal that would introduce paid parking at select beaches, parks and boat ramps as a way to generate revenue for future improvements and maintenance of recreational facilities. Under the concept being explored, county residents would continue to park for free while visitors and non-residents could be charged fees at locations including beach access points on Okaloosa Island and several popular boat launches. Commissioners say the additional funding could help offset property taxes and support upgrades to public amenities, although no final decisions have been made and county staff will return with detailed recommendations before any program is implemented.

Today's Holidays

Celebrate the weird stuff. We do.

Holiday #1 of 4

Justice for Janitors Day

Justice for Janitors Day is that annual moment when society remembers the building doesn’t “magically stay clean,” it just gets scrubbed back into respectability by people who don’t get thanked until the place smells like a wet dog and regret. It’s not a holiday so much as a collective guilt burp with a side of microwaved sheet cake in the break room. You nod solemnly, you post something earnest, you promise “we should do better,” and then you immediately go back to treating trash cans like they’re bottomless portals to another dimension. So today we’re saying the quiet part out loud: if the janitors clocked out for good, half of you would be living in a science experiment by Thursday.
