I-10 Lane Shift Happening This Week In Crestview

Get The CoastDrivers traveling west on Interstate 10 near Crestview will see a permanent traffic shift this week as lanes move onto a newly built overpass at the future P.J. Adams Parkway Exit 53 interchange. The change is part of a $72.7 million Florida Department of Transportation project designed to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and provide another access point for north Crestview travelers. Officials say the interchange will be the first new addition to the Northwest Florida I-10 corridor in decades, and construction crews continue making progress on paving, striping, and roadway improvements. Motorists are advised to use caution in the work zone since construction activity and traffic adjustments may continue depending on weather conditions.

Construction This Week Will Impact Eglin Pkwy Near Cinco

Get The CoastDrivers traveling along Eglin Parkway near Cinco Bayou should expect temporary lane closures this week as crews perform drainage improvements tied to an ongoing roadway resurfacing project. The work is part of a larger Florida Department of Transportation effort to upgrade the corridor with smoother pavement, improved stormwater systems, updated sidewalks, and other safety enhancements. Construction is scheduled during off-peak and overnight hours to help reduce traffic disruptions, but motorists are still encouraged to slow down, stay alert in work zones, and plan for possible delays while crews complete the drainage

Fewer Illegals Crossed The Border In One Month Under Trump Than In One Hour During Biden Admin

NY PostNew federal border data indicates illegal crossings along the southern border have fallen sharply under President Trump compared to the surge seen during the Biden administration. Border Patrol reported an average of 298 migrant apprehensions per day in April 2026, a significant decline from December 2023, when agents were reportedly detaining roughly 336 migrants every hour at the peak of the crisis. The Trump administration also says it has completed a full year without releasing apprehended migrants into the country, ending the “catch and release” approach criticized by many Republicans. In addition, officials report border apprehensions are now at their lowest point since the early 1990s, while drug interdictions have increased, including major rises in heroin and meth seizures and 463 pounds of fentanyl confiscated in April alone.

UFC Chief Dana White Says There's a Gnat Problem at the White House

FoxNewsUFC president Dana White said a recent outdoor dinner with President Trump at the White House left him concerned about hosting future UFC events outside because of a noticeable gnat problem. White explained that once the lights came on during the Rose Garden gathering, bugs were everywhere, flying into people’s mouths and noses, which made him immediately think about the UFC’s upcoming “UFC Freedom 250” event planned for the White House grounds next month. The card is being promoted as part of the America 250 celebration honoring the nation’s 250th anniversary and is expected to take place on the South Lawn. White said organizers are now exploring ways to control the insects, including the possible use of large fans, while joking that fighters might eventually blame poor performances on bugs getting in their noses.

Viral Video Gets Support For Removing Dealer Stickers

YahooA woman who bought a Ford Maverick went viral after posting a video of herself removing the dealership’s advertising decal from the back of her truck with a heat gun, saying she refused to be “a free billboard” after already spending thousands on the vehicle. Her stance resonated with millions online, sparking widespread discussion about dealership branding practices, with many drivers sharing that they also remove dealer stickers, license plate frames, and badges immediately after purchasing a car, while others argued dealerships should compensate customers if they want their vehicles used as mobile advertisements.

I struggle with networking because it feels fake. Is flattery really the key to building connections, and how do I do it without feeling unethical?

Today's Holidays

Celebrate the weird stuff. We do.

Holiday #1 of 4

May Ray Day

May Ray Day is that noble little speed bump on the calendar where we all pretend “celebrating a ray” is a normal thing adults do with their limited time on Earth. The rules are simple: find something that qualifies as a ray—sunray, stingray, laser pointer, your cousin Ray who swears he’s “between opportunities”—and treat it like it’s carrying the last ounce of meaning left in modern life. People swap ray-themed gifts, chase a little light, and act spiritually refreshed, like seasonal nonsense doesn’t keep this whole operation from collapsing. It’s harmless, it’s ridiculous, and it’s exactly the kind of holiday that starts as a joke and ends with somebody crying in a driveway at 2 a.m. holding a glow stick.
