Former Navarre Beach Fire Chief Violates Parole After Positive Cocaine Test

WEAR TV3— Former Navarre Beach Fire Chief Daniel Fureigh, 56, was arrested again after violating his probation—stemming from a prior DUI case—by testing positive for cocaine, according to court records. He was booked into Santa Rosa County Jail early Thursday and released later that day on bond. The Navarre Beach Fire Rescue District announced it is now moving to appoint an interim chief while searching for a permanent replacement, noting it will continue providing uninterrupted emergency services. It’s absurd, you know it’s absurd, and yet here you are—dressing up indigestion as tradition and calling it a good time.</p>
