NY TimesFormer FBI Director James Comey has been indicted over a controversial social media post showing seashells arranged to read “86 47,” which prosecutors interpret as a threat against Donald Trump, the 47th president. Former Fauci Staffer Indicted On Covid-Era Cover Up

APA former senior adviser to Anthony Fauci, David Morens, has been indicted on federal charges alleging he concealed government records related to COVID-19 research during the pandemic. Prosecutors claim he used personal email accounts to evade public records laws, attempted to keep certain communications from being discovered, and accepted perks such as meals and wine linked to grant-related favors. The case focuses on issues of transparency rather than any charges against Fauci, with Morens facing multiple counts including conspiracy and the concealment or falsification of records, essentially accusing him of trying to keep some pandemic-era communications out of public view.

Today's Holidays

Celebrate the weird stuff. We do.

Holiday #1 of 4

Viral Video Day

Viral Video Day is the annual reminder that the internet runs on two fuels: attention and bad decisions filmed in landscape by someone who swears they “didn’t even know it was recording.” It’s a holiday where we pretend the algorithm is a meritocracy, then sacrifice our dignity to it like it’s a bonfire and we’re cold. You scroll, you laugh, you cringe, you share it “ironically,” and congratulations—you’ve joined the unpaid marketing team. Don’t worry, we’re not here to judge; we’re here to take notes, because tomorrow you’ll deny you ever watched any of it and your phone will testify against you.
