Breaking Wind, For Men, Is Enjoyable

BroBible— For millennia, people have found humor in something as simple as flatulence, with jokes about it dating back to ancient Sumeria. Psychologists explain that this enduring amusement is linked to the “benign violation” effect, where a fart breaks social norms without causing harm, prompting the brain to turn surprise into laughter. Research also suggests that accidental or loud instances can make someone seem funnier, though the effect diminishes if it appears deliberate or mean-spirited. Today's Holidays

Celebrate the weird stuff. We do.

Holiday #1 of 4

Hufflepuff Pride Day

Hufflepuff Pride Day is that annual moment when the nicest house in wizard school finally stops apologizing for existing and throws a parade for loyalty, snacks, and showing up on time. People dress in yellow like human caution signs, hug strangers with alarming confidence, and swear their greatest magic is “doing the work” like that’s not just adulthood with a wand. It’s wholesome, it’s loud, and it’s built on the dangerous idea that being decent is somehow rebellious. Don’t worry, we’re not here to ruin it—we’re here to document it before it starts demanding a committee and a sign-up sheet.
