Terrorist Attack In Texas Kills Two, Wounds 14

DailyMail— A late-night shooting in Austin left two people dead and 14 others wounded after a gunman opened fire outside a crowded bar district. The violence erupted shortly before 2 a.m. on West Sixth Street near Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden, where authorities say the suspect initially shot from inside an SUV before exiting the vehicle and continuing to fire with both a handgun and a rifle. Police officers at the scene returned fire, killing him. Officials reported that the attacker wore clothing bearing the words “Property of Allah” and an image of the Iranian flag, and a Quran was later discovered in his vehicle, prompting the FBI to investigate possible terrorism links. The suspect was identified as Ndiaga Diagne, a naturalized U.S. citizen originally from Senegal who entered the country in 2000 and became a citizen in 2013; authorities noted he had a history of mental health issues. Investigators have not found evidence connecting him to any organized group, and the motive remains under investigation.

Suspect Posing As Mailman Attacked Couple After Giving Them Extortion Letter

KIRO7— A Seattle man was taken into custody after allegedly disguising himself as a USPS mail carrier and assaulting a couple at their home. Dressed in a postal uniform and carrying a branded mailbag, he approached the residence and handed the victims an extortion letter demanding 10 bitcoins—valued at roughly $650,000—while referencing a long-running dispute involving one of the victims and threatening to share damaging information if the payment was not made. As the couple read the note, the suspect reportedly attacked them, punching both individuals and at one point strangling the wife. When police arrived, the suspect and the male victim were still struggling. Officers said the man was carrying tasers, zip ties, a cell phone jammer, and other items, leading investigators to believe he intended to restrain the couple. He now faces charges including burglary, extortion, assault, and criminal impersonation.

Among those who said they were simply too tired, Five Guys and Raising Cane’s ranked as the top choices. The report also noted that people often opt for fast food for quick lunches during work breaks, casual outings with friends, or convenient stops while traveling. Additionally, 58% of fast food customers are Gen Z and Millennials, who tend to prefer quick, low-effort meal options.

JUCO Instructor Teaches Online Course Half Naked

LehighValleyLIVE— A professor at Lehigh Carbon Community College has been charged with indecent exposure after allegedly conducting an online class last fall while unclothed from the waist down. A 17-year-old high school student enrolled in the course reported to police that she saw the professor’s buttocks and genitals when he stood up to check a computer in another room. According to the complaint, when he returned and sat back down, his genitals were again visible on camera. The professor reportedly told the student he had taken sleeping pills the night before before continuing to discuss her project. When questioned by police, he said he did not remember the incident. He now faces two counts of indecent exposure and is not currently teaching.

Mom Gives THC Gummies To Kids To Enjoy Her Personal Time

Law&Crime— A 34-year-old Michigan woman has been sentenced to a year in jail after admitting she regularly gave her children THC-infused gummies during visits to keep them calm so she could have time to herself. The case began last March when her ex-husband contacted authorities to report suspected child abuse, telling 911 that the children were behaving unusually when he picked them up and later said their mother had given them the gummies. Investigators said each child confirmed receiving the THC products on multiple occasions. In addition to her jail sentence, the woman will serve two years of probation and is prohibited from using drugs or consuming alcohol.
