Cold case Closed In 1973 Niceville Murder

WEAR TV3An Okaloosa County cold case dating back more than five decades has been officially closed, authorities announced. The body of 19-year-old college student Debra Espey was discovered in a wooded area of Niceville on March 12, 1973, and investigators determined she had been beaten to death and buried in a shallow grave. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office now says the case has been resolved after 53 years, identifying Dennis Murphy as the sole suspect; he has since died. A witness reported seeing Espey with Murphy on the day she went missing, and investigators said the totality of the evidence led to the case’s conclusion. Murphy died in a traffic crash in Alabama in February 2023. Espey’s family expressed gratitude for the investigators’ efforts over the years and said they are thankful to finally have public closure in the case.

Auburn Basketball Latest Victim To Video Review

OutkickAlthough SEC play is only two games old, Texas A&M’s matchup with Auburn on Tuesday may already stand as the wildest game of the regular season. Auburn appeared in full control after taking a 47–37 halftime lead and stretching the margin to 16 points midway through the second half, but the momentum flipped when the Aggies surged on a 24–6 run to grab the lead and later build a 12-point advantage with just over five minutes remaining. Auburn rallied yet again and found itself down two with five seconds left, setting up a chaotic finish. After a Texas A&M missed free throw led to a scramble with two seconds remaining, Auburn had one final chance, and KeShawn Murphy appeared to drill a miraculous buzzer-beater from beyond half court. Following a lengthy video review, however, officials overturned the shot, ruling it late—a decision that proved difficult to decipher even after fans examined multiple angles, leaving opinions sharply divided.

US Wants To Buy Greenland - REALLY!

CNBCSecretary of State Marco Rubio told lawmakers that the United States plans to pursue the purchase of Greenland, underscoring President Donald Trump’s view that control of the Arctic territory is vital to national security. The White House said the president is considering multiple approaches while emphasizing that a financial deal is the primary focus at this time, though it noted that all options remain on the table. Today's Holidays

Celebrate the weird stuff. We do.

Holiday #1 of 4

I'm Not Going to Take it Anymore Day

"I'm Not Going to Take it Anymore Day" is the annual celebration of finally snapping in slow motion. It’s the spiritual cousin of quitting your job via glitter bomb, but with more passive aggression and fewer legal consequences. One part protest, two parts personal meltdown, and just a splash of misguided optimism. It's when folks nationwide declare mutiny against everything from bad coffee to existential despair—then quietly go back to doing laundry.
