Campbell's Exec Says Soup Uses Bioengineered Meat

NY PostA Campbell’s Soup Company executive, Martin Bally, was allegedly recorded during a meeting making disparaging comments about the company’s products, customers, and staff. Bally, a vice president and chief information security officer, reportedly criticized the company’s soups, calling them unhealthy and claiming they contained “bioengineered meat” and that he didn’t want to eat “chicken from a 3-D printer.” He also allegedly referred to the soups as “s--t for f--king poor people” and questioned, “Who buys our s–-t?” During the 75-minute rant, he reportedly made racist comments about colleagues of Indian descent. The individual who recorded the conversation claims he was fired for reporting the incident. In response, Campbell’s stated that Bally is on “temporary leave” and denied the accusations, asserting that their soups use “100% real chicken” from USDA-approved suppliers and that Bally’s role is unrelated to food production.

Christmas Lights For Your House... Or Truck?

KFORA Utah man has transformed his pickup truck into a moving holiday light show, wrapping it in 28,000 Christmas lights, with the wiring alone spanning nearly 1.87 miles. What began as a modest display with just 100 lights in 2019 has grown each year, and now the truck’s lights run on a separate power system, so they don’t drain the main battery. This year’s display has become a viral sensation, turning the truck into a dazzling spectacle that continues to capture attention online. What started as a small project has evolved into a 28,000-light masterpiece on wheels.

Black Friday Shopping Expected To Be Up, Spending Down

NY PostAs the holiday shopping season approaches, consumers are planning to spend less during Black Friday and Cyber Monday for the first time in four years, with the average expected spend dropping to around $622, about 4% lower than last year. This reduction in spending spans across all income levels, with those earning under $50,000 planning to spend 12% less, and even high-income households making over $200,000 expecting an 18% decrease. The main reasons for the pullback are higher living costs (cited by 69%) and financial constraints (43%). Despite the lower spending plans, 82% of consumers still intend to shop over the holiday weekend, up from 79% last year. To manage their budgets, many are turning to credit cards and “buy now, pay later” apps, especially among younger shoppers.

JD Vance Book Laced With Drugs Into Ohio Prison

AP NewsAn Ohio man, Austin Siebert, received a prison sentence of over ten years for smuggling drugs into a state facility by soaking narcotics into the pages of books, including a GRE guide and J.D. Vance’s memoir Hillbilly Elegy. He disguised the drug-laden materials as Amazon deliveries and mailed them to the Grafton Correctional Institution. The situation carries an ironic twist, as the memoir he used—focused on the harm addiction brings—ended up serving as a vehicle for trafficking. In recorded audio, when asked whether the package contained the “Hillbilly” book, Siebert jokingly called it a “romance novel.”

Uncle Bobby

Ask Uncle Bobby

Bad advice for good people.

As heard on the B-Team Morning Show

Each weekday, some poor soul writes in for help. Uncle Bobby gives them the worst advice we can legally put on the air.

November 30 · Today's Letter

Dear Uncle Bobby,

– We’re doing the big Thanksgiving road trip this year instead of flying, and my entire family is already getting on my nerves. (We haven’t even left the driveway.) My wife keeps reorganizing the snack bag, the kids keep “testing” the seat recliners, and my brother-in-law insists the route he found online is “definitely faster.” I’m trying to stay calm, but every tiny thing is making me irrationally angry. How do I survive this trip without losing my mind over petty stuff?

Today's Holidays

Celebrate the weird stuff. We do.

Holiday #1 of 3

Blasé Day

Blasé Day is the one time a year we all pretend our apathy is some kind of spiritual awakening instead of just emotional scurvy. It's a holiday for people too exhausted to care but too self-aware to admit it, like a shrug wrapped in a sigh dressed up as self-care. You don’t celebrate Blasé Day—you survive it, then post something vague about “protecting your peace” while mainlining cold brew and regret. It’s apathy with a hashtag and just enough irony to fool yourself into thinking you're deep.
