Study Finds— As the holiday shopping season kicks off, JCPenney stands out as the top discount retailer, offering an average 74% off according to StudyFinds—surpassing Belk’s roughly 72% and Kohl’s 45%, while Costco trails with just 15.1% savings. Jewelry sees the deepest overall markdowns at 42.2%, led by Belk’s steep 77.7% cuts, whereas consumer packaged goods have the smallest average discounts at 24.4%. Black Friday habits also continue to shift online, with 87.3 million Americans shopping from home in 2024 compared to 81.7 million visiting stores, and retailers now rolling out deals as early as October to stretch the season over several weeks.

Blue Angels' Fat Albert Headed To UK For Maintenance

WEAR TV3— The U.S. Navy Blue Angels’ Fat Albert has departed Pensacola to undergo extensive maintenance in the United Kingdom. The aircraft is headed to Marshall Aerospace in Cambridge for critical upgrades designed to prolong its service life. Work will include a complete replacement of the center wing box, a key structural part that endures heavy stress during flight. The plane will also receive a fresh coat of paint in the Blue Angels’ signature colors.
