Loosen Up, Lighten Up Day is that annual excuse for adults to pretend stress is optional and joy is a lifestyle choice, like gluten-free bread or Pilates. It falls in mid-November, right before the holiday season dropkicks your sanity into a decorative wreath. The idea is to laugh more, worry less, and forget you’ve got three maxed-out credit cards and a cousin named Trish who thinks crystals cured her eczema. In short, it's mindfulness for people who can't afford therapy and think deep breathing can fix a mortgage.
